Coconut Water

I had coconut water yesterday for the first time in a long time. It had pieces of coconut in it, but I’m not sure if it made it better. My sister fell in love with coconut water in Hawaii, but she drank it right after they opened the coconut. I imagine it tasted better than any other kind.

I've had coconut water from a coconut but never tried it from a can. (I wasn't impressed with it so didn't want any more of it.)

To me, it was an acquired taste. The first time I had it I actually thought it was gross.

I thought about it but (1) I don't like coconut flavor; and (2) I'm allergic to the palm tree that coconuts grow on even if it's not technically a "nut"

I like coconut water, but I drink the low sugar ones. Bai has a good one.

What about Aloe water? Did you ever try that? It wasn’t bad to me, but it seems kind of weird.

I like coconut water, but there is no comparison from coconut water from an opened coconut. I had this in the Caribbean.

@AmbiePam - It's so refreshing. I always had coconut water on the Islands, many had soda with ice inside and got sick. Their water is not safe for us and ice cubes are not made with bottled water.

I'm not impressed with canned coconut water. Fresh from the coconut would be tasty.

I wasn’t impressed either. I’m supposed to review it, and I want to say something like it’ll do when you can’t have it fresh. But I’m supposed to be more articulate than that.

@sallypup I’ve had drinks from cans and been able to taste the metal, and this may be one of them. I was supposed to review coconut water that came in cardboard containers, but the package was damaged in transit and they returned it to sender. I wonder if it would have tasted fresher in a cardboard container.
