58 days until spring. It was too cold yesterday for Meals on Wheels to make a delivery.
The contractor rescheduled for Friday because he had to go deal with some frozen pipes.
There is talk of a major ice storm this weekend. I'm so glad I have a standby generator. Stay warm and safe this weekend.
Breakfast - Monkey bread
Lunch - Pizza
Dessert/Snack - Nature's Bakery Brownie, 70% dark chocolate, low salt nuts
Dinner - Turkey with vegan cheese sandwich, veggie straws, Bing cherries

My part of Missouri is supposed to be experiencing some really cold weather with lots of white stuff on Friday, Saturday and Sunday so I told Pretty we HAVE to go shopping this afternoon when the temps are in the mid-40s... I am NOT looking forward to 4F as a high and won't be going outside during the cold and nasty precipitation...
I ate a hot ham and cheese sandwich for breakfast with a fiber brownie, ate some homemade chicken, broccoli and cheese soup for lunch and ate a ham and cheese croissant with two cupcakes for supper last night.

What a day ! It was filled with a good choice of meals. Here the fluctuating weather is throwing some winds dust everywhere, extreme cold and hot burning sun during the day.

@Laurakemunto I'm not happy about getting snow this weekend or the extreme cold on those days.
I bet the dust storms aren't fun, too. I would hate that.

I’m hoping if the storm is as bad as they say it will be here, and my power goes out, my dad’s won’t. Last time an ice storm took out our power for four days I stayed with my dad because his power stayed on. I just don’t want my pipes to freeze.
Yesterday, I had beef pad Thai, a salted caramel pretzel Chobani yogurt flip, and two pears.

@Laurakemunto You keep the heat on, but if the electricity goes out I won’t have electricity to keep that from happening

@AmbiePam okay I get you here it's been years since that was experienced I guess when I was a very young girl but some places do experience but on extremely rare occasions

Even here some of the temps are unreal. I pray there is no pipe bursts here. Yesterday I had pancakes for din. So delicious!

I love pancakes. I've been keeping the cabinets open under the kitchen sink so that the heat gets in there.

Here we have strong winds dust everywhere with lots of cold and during the day it's burning sun. What a weather!!

I had a strawberry smoothie for breakfast and a burger for dinner. I didn't have lunch since I was at the dentist with my son most of the day.

I'm really hoping that this upcoming storm isn't as bad as it looks like it's going to be. I'm just trying to make sure I have enough food, etc to get us through days when it will be hard to get out. I've already seen that stores are running out of stuff.
Hope you have enough food in case MOW can't deliver.
I'm not surprised the contractor is dealing with frozen pipes.
Last night we had chili topped with shredded chaddar cheese, a sprinkle of red onions and a dollop of sour cream. It really hit the spot. Still enough for leftovers

I guess the ice storm will be in the deep south. Yeah, make sure you shop before they run out of things.
I have sandwiches and some frozen dinners to help me through.

I heard there's a big weather system hitting the US through 35 states. Bundle up and stay warm this weekend.
Our temps are plummeting on Friday night into Saturday with the coldest temps I've heard of. -18 and that's not wind chill. That will bring the temps to -45. I'm not going anywhere this weekend.
I had a cheeseburger - no bun.

frozen pipes, ouch. i hope friday comes soon for your appointment. veggie straws, never had them but they sound cool. i had a baked fish with a mashed potato and some pickled vegetables.
