How many TV,s do you have?

January 21, 2026 11:37am CST
How many TV,s do you have in your house? We have two TV,s in our house. We have one TV in the living room We have one TV in the bedroom I want a new larger screen TV for the living room. But we have nowhere to put it because it is too large for the bedroom So even if I off loaded the smaller TV in the bedroom I would still have nowhere to put the current larger TV. I did try and sell it but new TV is so cheap nobody buys second hand anymore It's only 3 years old, pristine, it's a smart TV, Xiaomi Fire TV 2. The one I want is 55 inches, the TV we have on the living room is 43 inches So anyone want a telly ? And how many have you got just now? Right, exit stage left to shops now

That sounds about normal. Have you got smart TV in the bedroom? Or is it one with an old dvd or VCR attached lol,

@Ineeddentures I got this TV back in September. I told my ex to pick one out for me and this is what he chose.

@NJChicaa That's great. It's wonderful that he still helps you out when you ask. Not sure many other ex,s would be as good. I wouldn't , not for my ex.

I wish my one was 55 inches but sadly it's only 43 inches. I thought it was big enough when I bought it but it's not, especially for watching sport.

One needs to be mounted? As on the wall? I have never mounted a TV on the wall.

@snowy22315 We bought a nice TV unit instead of putting the TV on the wall. The walls were new and I thought best not put a TV on the wall. In 5 years we ain't put anything on the walls , lol

I do agree with you Anna One is more than enough So before I can get a larger screen TV for the living room I need to get rid of 2 more than likely

We have three, but two of them haven't been used in a long time. The main one we use is in the living room. It's a big screen, but I can't remember how big it is. There is one in my bedroom, but it has a split down the middle of it and I don't use it. There was one in the sun room, but we moved it.

Only one TV here. No need for more when I’m alone. And when hubby was here we also had only one TV.

@lovebuglena Yes the bedroom is for sleeping and bed related activities.. I can see why a TV would be an advantage..

I watch a lot of TV on my phone as well. If Yvonne is watching the telly and I don't like what she is watching I just use my phone.

We have four t.v.s Three of them get regular use, while the fourth is on the pod floor because we needed room for our 50 inch t.v. we bought last month.

@kaylachan I guess I won't be getting a new TV anytime soon. Pity really But I will have a new one in place for the FIFA World Cup Soccer in the summer

Space is my problem. I honestly have no space at all in the house to store a TV. I could put it in the shed but nice might get it and then it would be worthless

I have one. I don’t use it that much, I usually watch things on my iPad (like right now, I’m watching weather coverage for the upcoming storm).

@Ineeddentures — I will test on Friday. I made it through 12 hours without Tylenol and no fever. It’s a winter storm. They won’t even hazard a guess as to how many inches of snow we’ll get.

I used to watch things on my tablet but it broke when I sat on it . Didn't see it on the couch as I sat down. Upcoming Storm? Will it be a bad one? Hope you stay safe. Are you clear from COVID yet?

@Ineeddentures I got a tv for my bedroom for Christmas and have an alcove that I set up as a reading/tv nook. It's comfy and cozy. Until now I never had a tv in my bedroom

@Marilynda1225 Until a few years ago I quite liked a telly on the bedroom lol I am glad you like yours. Comfy and Cosy is good

That's a good number of TV,s. We never really use the TV in our bedroom. I see no point in it even being there.

I have only one - around 40 inches - in the living room. I recall my boss in Indonesia purchased a 40 inch TV back in 1987 and paid USD 25,000! It was a rarity as 21 inch was the norm. I had 14 inch at that time. Started with Black and White earlier and much earlier none!

The first TV I ever had was a tiny screen black and white portable that ran off of a car battery . My grandfather gave me it when I was about 10 years old so that was about 1970. It had one of those telescopic Ariel's Those were the days

50 inches is about the size that we want.. I find the 43 strains my eyes a bit without my glasses on and I think a 50 or 55 would be better for me

Hello , really good to see you again Getting rid of old TV,s is not easy, even if they are still working. Sometimes we can't even give them away. I wouldn't know where to get rid of an old TV. Not sure if a recycle place takes them or not Hope you are keeping well

Probably a good idea not to have a TV. Anything you can watch.on a telly can be watched online anyway

We have one. We've never been able to watch it from in bed. It gives us stiff necks etc.

I can fully relate to getting a stiff neck whilst watching TV in the bedroom One reason why we don't do it anymore. Must get rid of the TV on the bedroom but Yvonne says we should keep it as a spare. That's a laugh, I struggle with seeing the 43 inch High Definition Smart 4k telly in the living roomI would have no chance now with the 32 in the bedroom unless I was right up close to it

I rather doubt it as well 28 years, maybe it is down to having 2 telly's

For now I still use 1 , and if the family gets larger and kids grow bigger, they will probably want TVs in their rooms.

Don't give them TV,s in their rooms There is stuff on UK TV no child should see. I saw an advert on ITV with 2 homosexual men kissing Kids don't need to see that stuff, do they?
