Snow, It is the real stuff

It is actually snowing here. It started an hour or so ago but was melting as it hit the ground. It is in the low 40's here. But now it is starting to stick. Our weather channel said we were to get light rain. That's the funniest rain I have ever seen. At least it is moisture. I messed up and didn't run some errands today. I figured I would wait until tomorrow and add more errands to the list. Oh well, it is what it is. No matter what I will have to go tomorrow or Sunday.

I hope you don’t have any problems getting out. We’re having some precipitation, and it is 26 F (wind chill 7 F) here, but the snow hasn’t started in my city yet. We’re expecting 10 inches today and into Sunday night.

@velvet53 I hope you don’t either. As long as we don’t have a bunch of ice I’ll be okay with it. The stupid ice is what causes all the power outages. About 8 years ago our power was out for four days because of an ice storm.

@AmbiePam That's a long time. I had it happen to me years ago and remember how awful it was. I am not fond of the ice either.

The roads are good but I am going to wait until tomorrow to do my errands. I came up with a couple more errands to add to the list. So by doing them all tomorrow I won't have to go out for a few days.

Our weather this year is all over. We are in a cold advisory tonight. I sure feel it in this trailer. It's nothing like what others are going through. I was in below zero in my trailer during January of 2024 and it was miserable.

@noni1959 We never had it happen before then it happened. Thank goodness my brother was staying with us. I called my husband at work and told him about it. His boss said to poor hot water on the connection. We did and we had propane again. The tank was a big one that set in our yard.

It won't be long and you won't be staying in the trailer. I can imagine what it was like in your trailer when it was below zero. One winter when I was in Kansas our propane tank froze up. It was cold in the house and my son wasn't but about ayear old.

@velvet53 That is awful to have it freeze up like that. When I was in that storm, I had covered my tanks and luckily the park also had us hooked up to a huge one they had serviced so we wouldn't run out. I fought it at first and gave in and so glad I did.

Sometimes weAthef forecasts go wrong. We don't have snowfall in our area, but we have been waiting for for a drizzling for last nine days. We have not have any drizzling so far.

I have a friend that walks by my place every day. If I am out he stops and tells me what the weather is going to be. His predictions are pretty good. I hope you get some moisture soon.

@velvet53 The road crews have worked on ours all week and they have really improved. They used so much brine and salt I think the roads are bleached out!! We have snow mountains everywhere!

I guess you need the moisture however you can get it. Best to be safe and not do errands until the roads are clear.

I waited until today to do all of them. I didn't go to Walmart because I spent to much time at a few of my stops. I got 9 different errands done today so I am going to wait a day or two before I head out again.

We got about an inch and it is melting fast. I am going to wait until tomorrow to do everything. I added a couple more things to the list. By doing everything tomorrow I won't have to go out for a few days.
