I was fooling myself

I had my "cardiac stress test" today. I did the treadmill version. Hardest part is going without caffeine for 24 hours before. Fasting is not fun but is doable. My headache still is not gone. It may be from the stuff they inject to get pictures of your heart.
Bob insisted I take the entire day off. I could have worked, with a headache. I imagined I would come home and get a lot done. Nope!
I recharged my caffeine supplies and cuddled up under my heated throw and slept. I have some online stuff to do and will get to it pretty soon. The weather has been okay, but it is looking hazy now. That is not what the forecast said. I will check later and see if they have changed it up.
Just letting everyone know that I am still alive and kicking!!
Maybe I will be back later.
Even on days I do not post a discussion I try to come look at a few discussions.
Now it is time to get a bit serious with household things. Talk to you later.

I only feel badly because this is a wacko year and I am not the only one taking random time off.

Glad to know that you are still alive and kicking. This time of year, I just hibernate. I spend a lot of time sleeping. I sure enjoyed the moon a few nights ago. Big and beautiful.

One of these days I will actually retire, maybe. Or at least only work online.

I have had headaches off and on all my life. They are not migraines, though, and I am thankful. I knew the causes for this one. I knew I would have it and I was dreading it.

@GardenGerty I've never suffered with migraines either and I am truly thankful for that.

If I ever have to do a stress test, I will ask for the chemical one.

I did not mind the treadmill. Both involve the chemicals, and photos of your heart both resting and in full exertion.

I'm sorry you have a headache and hope you feel better quickly. If that's the same headache you've had for several days, you might want to talk to your doctor.
I hope your stress test turns out well. Good luck!
I am back in my bed this afternoon, too. I wasn't planning on that and am not sleepy right now but, I fell and banged my head... I get dizzy sitting up or standing up so Pretty told me to lie down and stay quiet.

Ooh, do not fall. I hope you do not have a concussion. The headache for a day or two was from eliminating caffeine so I could do this test and then fasting for more than twelve hours.

@GardenGerty My doctor wants me to go to the ER in the morning and get x-rays to make sure I'm not bleeding in my skull.
We shall see what happens there.

I am sure every system has their own standards. With this cardiology practice you have to be on the treadmill at least six minutes. There is also a target heart rate you need to meet, which is calculated by your age. Some people, due to certain conditions, have a hard time getting their heart rate up high enough.

@GardenGerty I probably couldn't do the treadmill test, Treadmills wake up my sciatica.
