I have been away for many days.
I´m with leg and knee therapy almost every day and after I lowered the price of my house I have had more people coming to see it. I hope it sells. My life will change completly after that.
I cannot even imagine how my life will be if I go to a senior home. It seems that non of them permit a kitchen inside the suite although you can have a small fridge. Maybe I can smuggle a water heater so that I can have multiple coffees and teas.
After I sell my house I will have around 3 months to sell or give away my furniture and to vacate the house. All that keeps my mind full while I imagine multiple ideas.
I will now go to the kitchen to cook lunch and then I´ll come to read your posts.

I´m sure that a good senior house will let me have some facilities I want. Dixie says we´ll go shopping for them soon.

@marguicha - I know that we have assisted living community where seniors live in their own small apartment. In those facilities there also is a little kitchen.

Good morning! I hope your house sells quickly so you can move on with your life.
I wouldn't like the idea of not being able to cook for myself.

I hope the house sells soon. And if I have money enough (that I will) I will be able to find a senior home that meets my wishes.

@JudyEv Thank you. If I caný find a place where I can cook if I want to, I can go to Dixie´s and ask her to let me cook for us.

I hope you can sell it and get another place to live that you like. The only senior places here with kitchens in them are assisted living. The nursing home type of facility, they don’t have that option.
Moving isn’t fun. I’ve had to move so many times. It’s very tiring. You will need a lot of help when that time comes.

I will shop for a good senior place. If I sell the house I will have money enough to live in the very best until I die. And my daughters do not need inheritance as they are both well off. The best senior homes are places where you can go out and visit or go to a restaurant is you wish. They are not places where people must follow a tight schedule.

I am more familiar with assisted living here than a nursing home, as the assisted living is not far from where I live, and I know several people there, and one who works there. They come and go...many of the residents have electric scooters, etc, and they zoom all over--they go to the store, the Dollar Tree, over to the park, or the local ice cream place not far from here. Friends and family often take them places or they go to visit. They do have little kitchens there, and a stove and a microwave. They eat two meals a day in the big dining room with the other residents, and the remaining meal they can go for if they pay a small charge. Most of them seem to eat their breakfasts in their little apartments, and go for the other two meals. But they can go wherever they want to. That would be the best for you, so you can go and see your friends.

My legs will not get better. What is important is that they don´t hurt so much.

None of them have kitchenettes? I hope it all goes well for you. Hope you sell soon.

I hope you get it sold soon. You could get one of those single cup coffee machines. For tea we just run the water through it to get it hot. But you can pick up many single serve teas and coffee. Even hot chocolate. Those you put in a spot and the water runs through it

I wish you the best of luck. So in your suite in the senior home you can do whatever you like? Do you eat with everyone at certain times?

Great to hear from you. Looks like you had lot on your plate of late. Leg and pain therapy everyday could take a lot of courage and real strength. Definitely a lot of credit to you on same. With the price a bit lowered, perhaps there is a chance people would see and buy. Hope for the best there. It makes sense that selling it feels like a turning point, because it really could change so many parts of your life. Senior home is definitely a strange and unsettling feeling, since you were close to the house and kitchen. I loved the idea to enjoy the coffees and teas. Small joys mean a lot. Having three months to sort through furniture and prepare to move is a big mental load, so it’s natural that your mind feels full. One step at a time perhaps and things would be better. Enjoy the day and the lunch!
