Tuesday Afternoon Chit Chat

Happy Tuesday Everyone! it's mostly sunny (sun hides behind some clouds here and there) and the temperatures will be somewhere in the 30s today. The past few days lots of little birds have been visiting my deck and I can only assume they are out hunting for food.
My morning disappeared. I popped on here for a short time, worked on notifications and then had some things to do and now I'm back. My daughter will be taking her lunch break soon and we're going to have some leftover grilled chicken with Caesar salad. Half the time I think I enjoy Caesar salad more for the croutons 
I always have a project going on and my latest one is cleaning out the drawers in my entertainment center. I'm going with the 3 choices....keep, toss or donate. I'm on a roll and so far I have more to toss and donate than keep. (yay me)
My second project is my utensil drawer in the kitchen. It's gotten so full that half the time it gets stuck opening it. Something is always in the way. Same theory...keep, toss or donate.
Meanwhile, as I go through this stuff and am looking to eliminate a good portion of it, I have more packages coming from Amazon today
If that's not enough fun for one day, I do have some crocheting to do and my goal of reading. I'm more than halfway through my book and already thinking about the next one to read.
That about sums up what's going on here today.

@DianneN Sounds like a job for UPS for whatever doesn't fit in the trunk especially if the Boca mall is still on your agenda before coming home.

@Marilynda1225 You’re so funny! I have been buying so much online and none of it will fit in the trunk when the car is shipped home. Thinking to box it up and let UPS take care of it. That doesn’t include the shipping to my son’s house. And I haven’t even hit the Boca mall yet.

@Marilynda1225 - I also thought that leaving a house full of stuff is really a bad idea. We are a lot better now.

It was the best decision to get it all done since your husbands health declines. I don't want to leave my children with a house full of stuff so I'm thinking ahead and trying to get rid of useless stuff.

I do love a good crouton.
Good time to go through that drawer. I just realized I need another utensil for mine. One of those spoon to pick eggs out of the water with. Need one!

We have a community yard sale here 2x a year. The only thing with that is it's hit or miss depending on how many people show up. I bet we could make some decent money if we could have garage/yard sale together but I think you have better stuff than I do

I used to buy spiced croutons and eat them instead of buying chips until Pretty pointed out they were more expensive than the chips. (I still buy a bag of croutons when she's not paying attention. 
)
Somehow, the knife I prefer to use for doing fine detail cutting in the kitchen has disappeared. I parked a kitchen chair in front of the drawers with kitchen utensils and sorted through them after Pretty swore she didn't have the knife in her bedroom... I still didn't find it. I have several small stoneware knives in the drawer so got one of those out to use instead. (Pretty hates my stoneware knives and throws the sheathes for them away, which lets them get damaged in the drawers so I'll throw them away. 
)
I guess that's one way to clean out the kitchen drawers.
I just charged my phone for tomorrow's doctor appointment and charged the backup battery for Pretty to use. She uses her phone battery up and then spends the time in the waiting room griping because she didn't take something else to do. (I just read on my phone but she tries to stay in video contact with her boyfriend and other people online. I don't understand why she can't read a book and conserve her phone battery...)1 person likes this

@Marilynda1225 Thanks. I used to carry a book around everywhere and kept an extra one in the car, just in case. She's always had a phone to keep her entertained.

I hope you find the knife you've been looking for. I certainly understand how you would be annoyed that your stoneware knives got damaged.
Hope your doctor appointment goes well and Pretty doesn't use up all her phone battery. Sometimes I wonder how we all existed before cell phones,

Slowly but surely I'm getting things done. It takes me longer because I don't move as fast as I used to and of course there are always distractions that come along to sidetrack me. You are right about the things you realize you can live without.

I feel like I'm on a roll to get some things done but usually it's something like the stupid utensils getting stuck when opening and closing the drawer that made me tackle it. I'd be more than happy to come over and help you

We do. Sparrows and Finches
Some others too but I don't know what they are
We had 2 deliveries from Amazon today
And one due tomorrow

I put a few little bread crumbs out for the little birds but they haven't been back. Guess they found a better offer down the road somewhere
