So, you remember I had to miss the funeral of the father of my childhood best friend. She wanted me to listen to her eulogy, and I thought that was the least I could do.
So, I bawled my eyes out. I hate crying. But I hate even more how bad her heart is hurting.

Aww, it is always hard to see or hear someone in pain.

I can understand the crying, especially like you said your friend is hurting so bad. I'm sorry for her loss.

It was what you needed to do, and can be very healing.

I'm sure your heart aches for your best friend. It's never easy to lose a parent (as you know) no matter how old you or they are.

No one likes to be sad or to cry. I know how you feel, though. And yes, she and her mother are surely very sad.
