Taller, Thinner, and Younger

Hub’s gait and balance hasn’t been right since his upper spine and neck surgery and rehab ten years ago. He reluctantly booked an appointment at a rehab clinic recommended by his physician.
I went along with him for his evaluation and first treatment yesterday, because he thought he was just fine and dandy. Fortunately, the doctor was spot on in his assessment as were my younger son and me. Ahah!
The doctor, whose practice it is, started talking sports with hubs, because he was a former college football player and went on for his doctorate afterwards. I chimed in with some football stories, because our younger son played football.
Hub’s doctor started talking to me about football, thinking I knew so much. I laughed and told him that he was talking to the wrong person. If he wanted to talk to me about fashion and modeling, I could talk about that. I informed him that I used to model when I was taller, thinner, and younger. He laughed and asked if I was a supermodel.
As soon as I told him that I only did local modeling and taught it, he went back to talking sports with my husband.
Hubs will see him 3X a week and do exercises at home daily. I did them with him to make sure he did them correctly. Hopefully, as the doctor said, he will go back to Connecticut a new man.

@misunderstood_zombie Oh, but he was! Each and every time. Once he needed to go to the hospital and get stitches and a CT scan.

@LadyDuck our son FaceTimed hubs today and told him how proud he was and thanked him for taking his advice. He’s been doing his exercises every day, so far. He begins his 3x per week therapy on Monday. I’m pretty confident he will continue, even if he hates it.
Sorry his twin is already annoyed. Keep pushing him to go.

Hope it all works for him and that by the time you get back to CT he's stronger and walking better.

Doing exercises is one good way to feel better and feel younger.

@LindaOHio He always says he’s fine, except the time in Boston when he needed stitches in his forehead.
His gait is awful, his balance is off, and he isn’t always walking heel toe. The doctor says that it’s all fixable and he will teach him how to properly fall if necessary. My poor hubs.

I hope the PT helps your husband! I really enjoyed PT the times I've had to do it. It's like working with a personal trainer but insurance pays for it :)

I hope your husband will continue to go and get relief.
. That’s the proof that we and they are twins for sure!
I hope he gets relief.
