How many delivery services do you have?

I get my groceries delivered for the sake of my back, and I use Walmart+ because I can get them half off with Walmart Assist. Free delivery is very appealing. I also use Amazon Prime because I can get them half off. I appreciate that both have additional benefits too, but the delivery aspect is what attracted me. I know Target had a grocery delivery system, as does Whole Foods and Kroger. Not that I have a Kroger around here. Do you guys subscribe to any delivery systems?

We can't use it here at the house yet, not until there is a turn around and drivers can come up without four wheel drive. I do order for two-day delivery things that don't need refrigerated and most ship to my prior daughter-in-law's house or my PO Box, depending which it will let me use. I'm getting ready to order coffee and a few things from Walmart since I'll run out before going to the city again. I do the same with Amazon.

I don't really have any at all except the discounted Prime. I buy sale foods on there at times, and honestly it pays for itself several times over because in order to reach the places with the best prices for food, I have to travel 12-15 miles. If I get canned and dry pantry items through Prime, I come out ahead by not using so much gas and miles on the car. It works for me. I am glad you have what you do, because I know it would be really hard for you to carry a bunch of stuff inside with your back issues.

@AmbiePam My one big Aldi run per month can wear me out. I always take my list, my big insulated bag and my smaller one, and some cloth bags. I get what I get, pay, and go over to the self-bagging station. I get it all packed up and then roll the cart out to the car, unload and put the bags inside, and return my cart to get my quarter--but so often someone gives me their cart on my walk to the cart station, I usually try to pay it forward. Often someone will try to give you a quarter to take your cart. But it only seems fair to keep paying it forward so I usually do that. The hardest part for me is putting it all away when I get home. The once a week little trip to the store for a few things like a bit of fruit or lettuce or whatever are easy. But the big trip is always worth it to me, as it's all done at once.

Not now, but I have used Instacart a few times. I have Amazon Prime..but Iam not eligible for 50 percent nor can I get fresh food from there. I will order boxed stuff from there if I see a good buy though.

I’m glad to hear InstaCart delivers to you (I remember them coming after the storm). I’d frustrated if no one delivered to me, and I was just too sick to get out and get something.

@AmbiePam They aren't now. I cancelled my account, but I used them when my car was in the shop and when all that horrible snow, ice mix was on the ground here.

Thank God, I can still shop for my groceries, so I don’t have any delivery services now. I’m glad we have them available should I need them…and I know that a lot of people like yourself DO need them.

Soo far we're able to get our own supplies but a lot of people here in our village get their supplies delivered.

The only delivery service I have is the mail... just a few bills, a flyer or two, nobody writes letters or even sends cards anymore.

I mostly rely on Walmart for non perishable groceries and Amazon for whatever We do a grocery pickup at our local Sams Club for meat, produce and that sort of thing and maybe a local supermarket for sales.

We've used Door dash in the past but haven't for some time. They charge quite a bit for the convenience. I now order a Dominos pizza through them directly and pay less. I get cat meds delivered from Chewy.

Dash Pass gets you free delivery for things $12 and over. I think it’s &12 a month for the unlimited free delivery.

@AmbiePam I don't use Door Dash enough for that. I did decide to be a silly and order some stuff through them tonight. No. I do not need potato chips. Yes I do!

I like to select my own items so I do my shopping in store. I have friends and family that order online and they say how easy it is…although they are sometimes annoyed at the substitutes they get….

With Walmart, they run the substitutes by us and we can accept or decline them. Sometimes though, if my delivery is really early, I sleep through them asking, and end up with a few things I didn’t want.

@AmbiePam here they just substitute items and you don’t know until they are delivered….

Our Walmart has a delivery service; but J picks up my grocery order each week for me, puts them away, etc. If I had them delivered, I'd have to bring all the bags inside and put everything away, something I'm not capable of.

What is Walmart Assist? We don't have Kroger anything. Right now all we have in town is Piggly Wiggly and Walmart besides the various dollar stores. I can't wait for Aldi. We use Walmart Plus. Amazon Grocery isn't a thing here but I get a pantry staples and canned goods when I catch them on sale

Do you get Walmart+ half off? Walmart Assist is for if you are on Medicaid, LIHEAP, or food stamps you get the cost cut in half.

Not at all especially grocery items. I shop online for my yarns and other crochet materials coz I can't seem to get them here. Or I have very limited choices. I also shop online for other things too but never grocery items.
