Look How Big.....

The girls are growing so much.
I've been chatting with different friends on the site and they've asked for recent pictures of the girls. I found a picture that isn't too old.
They grow in fits and starts, and Harper is finally 'big' enough that we were able to turn their car seats so that they are forward facing. Today they are rear facing for a very long time. It really does force one into getting a car seat cover, so that their dirty shoes don't leave any lasting marks on the back of the seat.
The seat cover that I bought can be taken off of the seat when the car seats are turned around and hung on the back of the front seats, there is even a little space to open it up for the heater/cooler vent.
Here are Harper and Willow, age 4.

@rebelann I think that they will level out in a few years.
Their first cousins are fraternal twins, one of them was much smaller also, but now that they are 9 years old the smaller one has caught up to the taller one.
Harper and Willow each excel at different things now, and I am sure that will always be the case. They are very close though, and they hold hands and Willow is always watching Harper, which she's done since birth.

Isn't that just crazy how fast the time has flown.
When I think of holding them in just 1 hand just 4 years ago, they were so small, and now, so big and independent.
Harper, on the left side of the photo, looks so much like our son did at that age, and Willow resembles him more now. There is no mistaking who their Daddy is.

Julia, they are incredibly lovely little girls. I know you are so proud of them, as you should be. I am glad to see a picture, they are growing up so fast!

Aren't they growing up fast, no more babies when you see them.
They actually like to play Mommy and Baby together quiet a bit.
They talk about remembering how Grandpa used to be there in the mornings to get them up and feed, dress and change them. They recall napping, sitting on the couch, on either side of him in the early afternoons, or sometimes just having quiet time.

@MarieCoyle They have a very strong bond with Grandpa.
Quite often on the weekends, they will be waiting for him to come over, not realizing the day of the week and that their parents are not working.

I hope they remember Grandpa for his loving care for many years to come. They were so very fortunate to have him there with them, and your care as well.

They aren't babies anymore. It's funny that Harper is so much smaller than Willow. I wonder if she will ever catch up?

No more babies, but still playing with their stuffies.
They have first cousins who are fraternal twins and the smaller one caught up to her twin at the age of 9.
But Harper has such a high metabolism, she can eat and eat and just grow, but Willow has to watch what she eats. Harper eats almost no carbs, and we joke that she has no butt, but eventually she will fill out a little I'm sure.
They're both little charmers and can really pour it on with their please oh please when they want to.

Oh, the car seats. It's been so long for me I had forgotten about those. Those two are 4. Gosh how they grow. Cute little ones too.
