Yes, I have been a late sleeper for years. Every night I go to bed after 12.39. Till 12.30 I study Sanskrit grammar. My wife doesn't like it. She says I sleep too late. But I can't give up Sanskrit. Or, say, Sanskrit doesn't leave me

Well, as you know, I'm weird.
I've been going to bed at 4 pm and getting up at 4 am for a couple of years because I'm so tired by 4 pm. But the psychiatrist said that wasn't okay, so he gave me a "wakefulness" medication and the last two nights I stayed up until 8 and 9 pm. I go when I get sleepy.

Pretty says, and I can't disagree, that I trained myself to fall asleep when I'm bored. *shrug* I don't see any harm in doing it that way.

Just now
I tend to go into the valley of tired around 2-3 o'clock every day (even when I was in school) so I do take a nap. I try to go to sleep at night around the same time so my mind & body shuts down and knows it's time for some Zzzzzs

I go to bed after dinner because I feel much more comfortable watching tv from my bedroom and in bed. But it would take hours before I finally get sleepy and I turn the tv timer on when I'm ready to finally fall asleep.

Well, before my life changed, I tried to go to bed about midnight. It didn't always happen, as you know I am a night owl, and always have been. But at least I had a goal and tried for it. Now, my goal is to care for my son and help him get well, which involves sleeping at odd times as you know. I remind myself of my blessings...my children, my grandchildren, my friends...I have a place to live. Schedules? All we can do is our best.
