I hope Wendys doesn't disappear on us

So after the doctor's appointment I headed out to a shopping area in the far Western part of the county. I wanted to go to Walmart..rarely go there, but worth a monthly trip generally..had an appointment at the Hair Cuttery it was 50 percent off. and wanted to have a nice taco salad for lunch at Wendy's. Well, the dining room was closed! That Wendy's is a particularly stupid one..They had their dining closed for months after the pandemic. I got in line to take the order at the drive thru not thrilled cuz I didn't want to have to eat the T salad in the car. Anyway, they had no salads...Gadzooks! 
. Anyway, I didn't want a burger so I got out of the line. I have heard something like 70 Wendys have closed nationwide, just in the past few weeks. This one is a candidate I think..beautiful dining room they can't use..and stupid staff that work there, you should have heard the order taker..Anyway, it would be sad if the whole chain closed up...other than a few locations.

Wendys is probably my favorite for fast food places. I love their chili.
Wow that does sound like a bad experience you had today and hope they were just having a crisis and not closing.

Maybe all Wendya are not using their dining rooms now?? Like I said this particular one has problems.

Very often many of the fast food restaurants seem to have their dining rooms closed now. Reminds me of the pandemic. They don't staff enough people, and the majority of fast food restaurants do between 65 to 70% of their business in their drive thru, so it's the first thing they cut. Then they do a lot more business in delivery orders. It seems crazy, but that's no doubt what it's all coming to--bare minimums and you don't eat inside.
I have read that many Wendy's will be closing. I am not a big fast food fan by any means, but I do know a lot of people who like Wendy's.

@MarieCoyle Actually, I went to T Bell that day instead of Wendys. Their dining room was open also wad open at McDonald s when I went there last.

Last year, a new Taco Bell went up not far from here. The first few months, the dining room was open. Now, it never is, only the drive thru. Burger King is the same, and sometimes so is the nearby McDonald's. I don't go there so it doesn't affect me, but it makes some of the customers upset.

@Juliaacv They just put their chili on top, if you have had that...it doesn't taste especially like taco..They give you salsa on the side if you want to use it.

@sallypup That really sounds pretty good. Some regional chains are quite delicious. There is one here that comes out of North Carolina which has 40 milkshakes. They are all delicious too.

@snowy22315 I kind of did, too. There is a higher priced burger joint across from the nearest Wendys to me. That burger joint features Oregon food like Tillamook cheese and real strawberry or raspberry slurry in their milkshakes. That place tempts me the most these days.

Jane and I used to meet at a Wendy's and it closed. I think it was a cleanliness issue, not sure. It was right across from a college campus, should have done great business.

It would be but I think the ones down here are still going strong. Can't be sure I can say the same for Pizza hut. We've been on Beach side and George keeps saying the Pizza hut is literally gone, as in phyysically gone.

@snowy22315 I've been seeing Wendy's more and more recently.
two to three decades ago, Wendy's was a go-to for students because most of their stores were open 24/7 then they vanished one by one. After pandemic, Wendy's started popping up in malls

I hope Wendy’s doesn’t close down there. It’s one of my favorite fast-food chains. I love their salads and burgers. This is my go-to place when I’m craving a decent burger.

Why is it Chik-Fil-A capable of hiring excellent staff, but other fast food chains can’t? Have you noticed the quality of service?
It would be sad if they closed since they have such a great story. Plus, you can’t beat an original Frosty.

Oh wow 70 branches closing down.
I have heard that Starbucks in the US are closing down a number of their branches too. But there opening a number of stores nationwide in my country.

Starbucks is weird. They close branches and open some more. There is one that just opened within the last two months near here.

That’s a shock. I haven’t had Wendy’s in years, but the last one we stopped at was when we were driving to Florida last year. That’s another story, but the place was so clean, filled with people, and we actually had someone make us special burgers and salads that weren’t on the menu.

I loved the bacon mushroom melt from Wendy's. Thats and the Denny's skillet was my staple there
