ER Visit

Well, I’ve been in the ER quite awhile now. They did an EKG (it was fine), and I told them about my history of low magnesium. So they did some blood tests and a chest X-ray. Once they got the blood tests back they sent them out for more blood tests. So I’m currently waiting for someone to come in with some answers. Odds are, the only thing they will find is just what I said, low magnesium. Sure, it would be nice to know why it keeps happening, but I think they’ll be sending me to someone else to figure that out. Heck, maybe they’ll surprise me with a proper diagnosis. My dad has been sent to Sonic to bring me dinner in the ER. I’m so hungry!

Hoping for the best, just please give them time to figure something out. However, it seems you will need something in the near term to make the dizziness better.

Oooh, Sonic, yum. Not healthy, but yum. I do hope they come up with something. Could it be any of your meds depleting the magnesium?

We talked about it. They came in a little while ago to give me an IV of magnesium. They are waiting for the IV to finish, and then they’ll rerun the labs. But they really can’t see a connection with the meds unless they were making me throw up, and none of them are.

I wonder why you keep having low magnesium?

That’s what they just talked to me about as they attached a bag of magnesium to my IV. If my meds were causing vomiting or other “digestive” issues then they would say it’s that. But they aren’t.

I read below they've hooked you up to more magnesium so that's a start I guess.

I hope they can figure out the reason for the dizziness. Glad you’re getting some dinner, I know if I get too empty, that invites a migraine. Hang in there, Amber!!
