Marshfield Massachusetts eight year old boy Callahan Pierce who went missing from his home on Tuesday evening when he walked away from his parents' home while he was being watched by his babysitter. Callahan had walked two miles from his parents' home through the woods before being seen by Ben Ruggio in his backyard around 7 am on Wednesday. Ben brought the boy into his home to share breakfast with Callhan before Ben called the police who came to his home. First responders took Callahan to a local hospital to be treated for hypothermia. Callahan likely wanted to run away from home. Thank goodness the police were able to reunite him with his relatives after missing for a period of 12 hours. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/cri...

Most likely the babysitter was terminated by the parents of Callahan.

Kids are not being watched properly and those parents should be checked out and the parents should never hire that babysitter again. Besides, an 8-year-old should know better.

I hope whatever made the kid want to run is fixed so he doesn't do it again.

Many homes have forest behind them. Parents have to be careful their kids don't go walking in their backyard forest and get lost.

My relatives who live in the country in south Louisiana live in areas near a forest which is scary just seeing the backyard.

That's quite a long time for Callahan to be missing.

That is a long time to be missing, and it was dangerous for him to be walking through woods on his own. It was fortunate that the home owner was home, and could report his finding the boy to the Police.

This is very dangerous. I thing the boy needs to be taken to a psychiatrist for counseling.

Well, that boy had an adventure. At least the man who found him gave him meal after that long walk. Thank goodness he wandered into a yard with a kind and helpful person.
