Have you ever done an Escape Room?

I think most people have heard about Escape Rooms. It’s when you and others are locked in a room for a fixed amount of time, and must escape by solving clues that eventually lead you to the key that helps you escape. My cousins did one during their annual cousins trip about five years ago. One group of my cousins (my sister was in this group) did the advanced escape room, and one group of cousins did the intermediate escape room. The cousins (and sister) solved the clues to the advanced escape room successfully, while (and God bless them) the cousins who did the intermediate escape room only solved 2 of the 3 clues, and did not escape. The consensus by everyone was that it was a great time. Have any of you done them? If not, would you participate in doing one?

@AmbiePam Sounds too claustrophobic to me. I hate being in places I can’t immediately get out of.

Never have done one...but they sound interesting. However, after seeing the Escape Room movies, I don't know about them lol. Those were freaky.

No, I've never done one. I wouldn't be comfortable being locked in a room I couldn't immediately leave.

Well, all you’d have to do is say you want to to leave, and they’d immediately let you out. And I don’t know about all escape rooms, but my sister’s had an emergency exit they could have run out of at any point.

They let you out if you want out. It’s not like they hold you against your will.

My daughter and her friends have done them a few times and had a great time. I haven't done one and probably won't. Just not something that sounds all that much fun to me and I'm not really good at puzzles,

I haven't but I have seen them from the outside. My guess is I would get frustrated. However, working with a team might not be too bad.

I read below that you can get out if you really want to, in which case yes, I'd do one. Have you done one yourself?

No, but I wanted to do the one with my cousins. I was so looking forward to going, but when that laryngitis hit, my throat hurt just by swallowing. It was such a perfect opportunity. Had you heard about Escape Rooms? A couple of years ago they became crazy popular.

I've never done one. I would physically be unable to do the walking and standing.
