Drat! It’s pouring out. I was reading out on the lanai in the sunshine when I felt a few sprinkles of rain, but the easterly wind blew it away from my direction . I got chilly, so put on a sweater and went back outside. Then it poured like crazy. Back indoors now and thought I would show you a photo from my window of The Sunshine State. It’s letting up now, but here I shall stay. So what do you think?

Yes. I should take another photo, because it’s worse now. I can’t even see the buildings on the other side. The wind is blowing so hard, and the palms are bent over from the downpour.

@sallypup Algae blooms and storm runoff from canals have caused concern for pollution, but it is safe to walk or swim in it. However, it seems gross to me. I prefer the pool or ocean.

It definitely looks wet, but still pretty gentle. It was windy when I was up in Erie, and the lake was really in a frenzy. I didn't dare get too close.

It’s raging out there. The rain on my window makes it look like fog as Eva said. The palms are bent over, but I’m sure it was much worse on Erie.

Tall building? My building is only 4 floors, just like my house in CT. We’re on the 3rd floor.

When we lived in Daytona Beach when I was a teenager, had to pull over on the way home from St. Augustine because of the "sunshine" pouring down so hard we couldn't see the front of the car. Ten miles down the road you couldn't tell it had ever rained.

When it rains, it pours! And it also gets cold in the winter (just not as cold as it gets here...usually). I remember one year we were on vacation in Florida in the wintertime, and we kept going farther south, hoping it would warm up. We probably should have gone to the keys, but we only had the gumption to go as far as Stuart. And it was STILL COLD! No beach for us. It was so cold at Disney World, they turned off the things that normally spray you on the rides.
