Yesterday was a two appointment day

Both appointments were an hour from home, in different directions. We made it with plenty of time to spare to the second one, then had to wait a long time.
For lunch we had Pizza Hut Buffet. Have not done that since COVID.
These appointments were regular check ups, one for Bob's feet and one was his one year check up from his cataract surgery. So he is healthy at both ends.
Today was a hospital follow up from our primary care. Tomorrow is a hospital follow up with the cardiologist. Monday is the visit with the oncologist.
Bob had to have labs done for today and we just had them forwarded to the two specialists as well. No point in all that many blood draws for the same purpose.
Outside of that I have been enslaved by docusign. I am doing the new hire stuff for being the community based care person for Bob. It almost defeated me.
We are in the middle of a huge thunderstorm now. I think I will go.
Oh, Hail!!

They will need to do a background check on me then I can start submitting hours. At my house I do not see any hail damage, but the town where I used to work, Marion, had tennis ball sized hail. Lots of damage. The next town over had smaller hail, and the town where I go to church had two land spout tornadoes.

OMG, I can't imagine tennis ball sized hail @GardenGerty
So what is a land spout tornado? I've never had to deal with tornadoes so I'm totally dumb about them.

Hi Heather.
You and Bob have quite a lot on your plate with all these medical matters.
It's the same here for me and Yvonne
Glad that the appointments went well today
Pizza Hut Buffet sounds good.
We had food before the appointment Yvonne had today

It is funny. The Pizza Hut we went to I have been patronizing for almost 55 years. I am glad they got the appointment done for Yvonne. Is she doing okay?

55 years is a long time to go to the same Pizza Hut.
Yvonne is fine
Now just waiting for her to decide if she will go private or wait until the NHS can do it free

Appointments are going well. The next wait is for a background check, and/or to correct any paperwork errors. I know of one I may try to fix today.

I really like our eye doctor. He talks to us like we have brains and is always willing to elaborate on things or discuss things further. He showed us pictures of Bob's optic nerves and they look healthy and that is a good thing.

@GardenGerty I like your eye doctor. Looking at the optic nerve would have been interesting. That's great about Bob's health.

This is my second go round with caring for a frail husband. We will do all we can to have him have a long and happy life at home.

You are so busy. I know that there are days that I have to have the son at two-three appointments and none are close together, it can be nerve-wracking. Hopefully, after tomorrow's appointment you and Bob can have a quiet weekend together.
There are just not many Pizza Hut restaurants left around here anymore. Crazy, they used to be everywhere.

One nearby town used to have two Pizza Huts, one closed this year. Pizza Hut was "born" in Wichita, Ks. in a garage. I think we will have them around a while. Most of them do not have the buffet anymore, and that, I think, hurts them. It would be nice if appointments in the same towns could be the same days.

We do not eat near as much at buffets as we used to. The waiting is harder for Bob. His numbers are coming up as far as hemoglobin goes, but it still is low and he is tired. We went to the library in Newton yesterday and he is reading now. For a while he was too tired to even read.

“Healthy at both ends.” That’s great!
I watched tornado coverage in Kansas and Iowa, but the major storm of the day was in Enid, Oklahoma. I pray those storms stay away from you!
Ever wondered what a celebrity feels like autographing a lot of things? That’s you and DocuSign!

Thanks for the new perspective on Docusign. I like it better than hand writing, I think. Yes, Enid got hit pretty bad. My community fared better than the town ten miles over. I have seen some footage of Enid's storm.

Saturday, staying home. I am anxious to speak with the doctor on Monday to find out what is wrong with his blood.

For a while they discontinued the buffet here. Some towns have it and others do not. We were in McPherson, where we used to live. Lots of manufacturing and construction so it makes for a fast filling lunch for workers.

Foggy again on this Saturday morning, or hazy. It will clear up, I am sure. Kansas is having a 200 mile long yard sale. I am not going, it would overwhelm me.
