Her Place Now

So my friend finally sent me pictures of her new house and land, and she sounded better today than the day prior. There’s a detached garage at the back. She will have to install a storm shelter (her last place had one), and she needs to put two different fences up, one to keep the goats from getting out, and one from keeping the bigger dogs from the goats. She started talking about how pretty the cedar trees were and my eyes watered from the thought. Darn allergies. She talked to the city we live in to let them know she was moving. They didn’t seem to believe her at first, but she started to get texts from out of the blue, which she thinks were the city fishing her out. I don’t know, but they can easily find out now the property is changing hands and where she’ll have moved. Let’s hope she doesn’t have a repeat problem, and maybe gets herself in order so this doesn’t come up once more.

That actually looks pretty nice. How far will she be living from your city now? If she was closer, maybe you could move in.., but maybe the dogs would drive you nuts.

It’s an hour, but she she has a roommate. I don’t think I could take the dogs barking or the smell of that many dogs. She never smells, and neither do her clothes, but I have smelled her car at times and it was overwhelming. To be “fair”, maybe I was smelling her goats in that car, and not the dogs.

@AmbiePam She might possibly end up feeling like your caretaker too..and she doesn't need that.

@snowy22315 Oh, she feels like a caretaker, but not of me. Of her lousy roommate.

I hope this works out for her. It looks like a huge home. I can't tell from the picture, but are there neighbors close by? I know that many areas here have limits of how many animals you can have at one time. I do hope she wakes up and realized this is a big wake up call for her to set limits. But I guess time will tell on that.

It’s a little smaller than her last house was. One side, it’s hard to tell from the picture, is a detached garage. Her neighbors are a fire station, and then two other people across the street from her. It’s mostly a lot of land with houses miles apart.

@AmbiePam Well, it's good to know there are not many close neighbors to be offended by barking dogs. That can definitely be a problem with rescue homes.

It’s a nice place to stay, looking big and spacious enough for them to settle in for good. I’m in awe of how green the background is, and hopefully she’s there to stay, as I think the property is definitely worth keeping.

I hope so. It’s plenty of room for all the animals. I just hope she uses wisdom in how she handles her animals and finances.
