Another tick for Temu

I’ve written about Vince’s coin collection. We ordered some coin folders from Temu, thinking it would be easier to sell a series of coins if they were displayed nicely. When the folders arrived, and very promptly, we discovered we couldn’t fit a 50c piece in them so they weren’t of much use. Although they were what we ordered and the advertising for them was correct, Vince contacted the seller and we got a full refund and were told to keep the holders. We were a bit flabbergasted really as it was totally our fault that the folders weren’t of any use. Another tick for Temu from us. The photo is from the coin fair. Note the blue kitty litter crystals box.

I've never used Temu and don't know anything about them. Except I think that's the site where people have found rip-offs of their products being sold along with all their stolen details (pictures etc) used to sell them misleadingly. I hope you find some suitable folders.

Amazon and Walmart both have sellers on theirs that do the same thing. I once ordered a kids art easel on Amazon and received exercise battle ropes

I think you're right and really we shouldn't be using them but sometimes it's just too easy to get what we want from them. Shein is another site that steals designs and details.

They have stolen from a lot of their customers, and they also steal designs from other people and sell them as their own. Just be careful. I’d hate for your credit card information to be stolen.

I doubt we'll use them much but sometimes it's just so easy to find what you want there.

I have not used Temu because they are off-shore, but also because their refund or cancellation policy, generally speaking, is terrible. You did really well with yours, but watch your account in the weeks to come that they don't go in and charge you again.

Thanks for the warning. We'll certainly keep an eye out for any extra charges, etc.

@JudyEv Please do. I have customers who will call us at the bank and complain about that company, in particular. I always advise them to search a customer service telephone number online for them, and to request to speak with a supervisor.

It happened to me when I ordered a wrong cellphone from Amazon. It was a senior phone, it was cheap, but it was only 3G and I needed a 4G band. I asked for a refund, I bought a new one and Amazon told me to keep the 3G. I suspect there is no use for it now, after June 6th 3G band will be turned off.

@JudyEv - Sometimes those things are so cheap that it's more a problem to put them back in the inventory.

I've heard of others being told to keep an item even though it wasn't what they wanted.

I got my money back a few years ago and was told to keep. I hope also had a couple of things arrive late and received a 5 dollar credit for that happening

Not a fan of Temu. Really shady sellers there and the products are obvious knock-offs.

@allen0187 I'm getting worried now. I probably won't order any more but lots of people here use it and have had no trouble with it.

I've bought a few things from them and any time I wanted a refund I was told the same thing, they simply didn't want the product sent back to them. Not bad if ya ask me.

I've noticed that it's much more common to see articles about the bad experiences so I have to wonder how many more people have had good experiences with them @JudyEv

i'm glad you got a refund. i feel with temu you never can't tell cause, every time is different. i still treasure a small massager which costed 10 dollars on temu and on some site, it was 30 dollars and battery was always low. but, when i needed to get a plastic cutting board, i got a plastic something. p.s. i like this blue box. also, sorry that folders weren't fit for you. will you buy a new set of coin folders?
