Pain In The Neck

Happy Thursday Everyone! can't complain about another sunny warm day 
I'm sitting here with my small heating pad on my neck as I woke up with a neck ache. I know I slept wrong and it's all my pillows fault. I need a new pillow but can't find one that I like and keep going back to my old reliable one. No matter how many time I try to fluff it up it's a flat mess by the time morning arrives.
I'm hoping that between the heating pad and some Tylenol I'll be ready to tackle the day.
Meanwhile I certainly won't let a pain in the neck keep me from having my coffee and chatting here on myLot.
My daughter and son in law are having a wonderful time in Bermuda. They sent some pictures yesterday of them (and the friends they're traveling with) out on a catamaran. It looks absolutely gorgeous and I was wishing I was there.
I don't have any vacation plans for this summer do you?

Pretty is my pain-in-the-neck but a heating pad doesn't get rid of her. 
I fell last night and broke one of my front teeth... We still can't get a dentist.

@Marilynda1225 Yeah, I'm fine, just haven't been feeling well... And yes, Pretty keeps saying I need to go back to the ER when I don't want to go. They always make me wait forever before they'll see me. 
Thanks. Insurance would pay for a dentist but, since I don't have a regular dentist that I see, they can't get me in to see one.

@DaddyEvil the ER really does make you wait forever so I can understand your reluctance to go. I hope you can find a dentist that will be able to help and not make you wait a long time for an appointment. Guess you'll have to start with someone somewhere.

I was worried about you since I haven't seen you in awhile.
Sorry that you broke your tooth and hope it can get fixed.
Seems as if your falling is becoming more and more frequent which is sad to hear

I hope you're having a good day and that it isn't too hot there. It's going to be 90 here today so I'll be inside enjoying the a/c. Thankfully my neck does feel a bit better today.

Sorry about your neck. My sire spot seems a little better today. The soreness seems to come and go. Glad they are having a great vacay. I went to Bermuda once..didn't like it..too expensive, air was humid and the water was cold.

I'm surprised you didn't like Bermuda. I know it's expensive but I loved it the one time I was there. Maybe it all depends on when you go. Some months are probably better than others,

Thankfully my neck feels better and I got a decent amount of sleep last night. I'm going to continue the heating pad and Tylenol again today and fingers crossed I'll be 100% by tomorrow,

No big vacation plans on my end either this summer, just keeping things simple and taking it as it comes. Hope your day gets more comfortable from here on out!

I resonate with you about the pain ache as well as that wishing for a vacation. lol. I also happened to experience recently pain in my neck and it wasn't fully recovered until 3 weeks. I tried massage, heat pad, and stretching exercises I was able to search in youtube. The last one I think helped much because I have felt a slow but effective relief from those stretching exercises i followed. I hope this will help you too.
And of course, one of the factors that contributed to my neck pain i believe is stress.. Thus, I am truly longing and dying to have a relaxing vacation to de-stress from work and life's stressors.

3 weeks is a long time for you neck pain to subside. I feel better today and hopefully by tomorrow I'll be back to 100%. I nice massage sounds heavenly though. I'm going to look at YouTube and see if I can find some of those exercises you mentioned.
Hope you can get away for a relaxing vacation and the stress of working. We all need a break

I recently got a new pillow, and what a blessing it has been. I kept my old one so long I was hardly sleeping at all.
My vacation won’t exactly be in the summer. You know we’re going on that Canadian cruise in October since last September we couldn’t make it after the flights were canceled.

I haven't found a pillow that works and keep going back to my well worn good old faithful. One of these days I'll find the perfect one.
I know you aren't happy about having to fly to Canada in October but once you get there I know you'll have a great time. Try not to stress about it now.

I am due for a new bedroom pillow also.
I am going out to get one mid-month, you should set a date and just buy one.
It is so great to hear how wonderful your daughter and her hubs are enjoying Bermuda.
We were not planning on anything for this summer.
We just went away in April, and Ron wants to spend as much time with Harper and Willow before they start to school.
Originally we thought that we would go away in September, but he isn't sure and I do not want to push him, he might just be happy to be here and able to go over to see the girls off to school in the mornings or pick them up after school.

I've had little luck finding a pillow that works for me. I'm still on the hunt for the "perfect" one and when I find it you can be assured I'm going to buy multiple so they last me until my last day in earth
I can understand how Ron wants to spend as much time with the girls as he can before they head off to school. Gosh time flies. I remember when he retired and started taking care of them when they were just babies. My dad used to spend a lot of time with my girls when they were young but was never their sole caretaker. But, he would take them places and even now they all have wonderful memories of him. I'm sure both Harper and Willow will also have wonderful memories as will Ron.
Hope you have a nice weekend and looking forward to hearing if you got some pretty flower baskets.

Sorry to hear about your neck pain it is not funny at all. Funnily enough my wife calls me a pain in the neck sometimes! I hope the pain subsides soon.

It' subsided a little bit and enough that I can move my head without too much trouble. Guess it's common to wake up with a neck pain when you sleep the wrong way.

Sorry to hear about your neck problem …..certainly sounds like a new pillow is needed.
Just a summer at the caravan I think …..The Mister is working so it’s usually tricky for us to go away in the summer months.
