What is your call time?

What do I mean by that? I mean what are the hours of the acceptable time to call people. I was also taught during the weekday, don’t call before 9am or after 8pm. On the weekend, don’t call before 10am and after 8pm. The only person I vary those hours for is my dad because he turns his phone off at night (if people routinely called you at 5am you would too). So I know there is no possibility of me waking him up to talk. Now, if it is an emergency I call Diana’s phone because hers is on all night. And, I have had to call her to get someone to take me to the ER a time or two. What are your acceptable call times?

Similar to yours. I had the habit of turning off my wifi when I sleep. I figured if it was really important, people will use their phone to make an actual call.

With the hours I keep I don’t really have set hours. As you know well if I am up I will answer a text message at any hour of the day or night. But usually I stop answering phone calls after midnight.

When I was growing up, it was fairly standard that no one called anyone after about 9 PM, and you didn't call people super early in the mornings, either. In my immediate family, that rule is often violated. If I need help, if one of my kids or grands call at an odd time, or if I do--it's because we have to, and I consider that acceptable. My phone is on all night. I have had to reach for it and call 911 many times for the son...I want it on. Plus, we have elderly in our family that are not well. Most of us here grew up with only a landline phone and no cell phones. The landline phone was always on (well, we could turn off the ringer, but we didn't.) If it rang deep in the night, we knew we had to answer it because someone needed us, so time wasn't a factor. Now, we have the option to turn off the phone, or silence it, or whatever. For your sake, I am glad that Diana keeps her phone on!!

Not before 9 and certainly not after 11. I bet preachers get called at odd hours.

I was also taught during the weekday, don’t call before 9am or after 8pm I don't remember being taught acceptable call times, but for me acceptable is 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Someone called me at 9 p.m. recently, and I was in bed. I sure as heck didn't get out of bed to answer it.

For the most part not until 10am and not after about 7'ish in the evening. Now, if it is family, and an emergency, it could differ.

I was always told not before 9 and never after 8 pm, no matter which day of the week. Mom always called me before 7 am, but she knew I was up for at almost 1 hour.

I wouldn't call anyone before 8am or after 8pm normally. But I do text with my kids later or earlier depending on what's going on. My "real" phone calls aren't too often,
