Howdy! I know, I’m on the road and haven’t told you a single thing that I’ve done yet.
Truth be told, I’m too busy looking at things. I can’t believe I went to sleep before 1 AM last night! I never go to bed that early! (Ask my Apple Watch.
)
Oh, but believe me, I’m enjoying things! Even in my hotel room, there’s plenty to enjoy. Look at this view from my hotel window!! I’m in Asheville, North Carolina tonight, the hipster capital of the universe.
More music tomorrow, and you will hear about this silliness!

Asheville is so beautiful, a true one-of-a-kind place to visit. So many go to see the Biltmore, which I have been through, but there are a lot of other things to do there, too. Plus, it's so scenic. Have the BEST time, Karen!

I really don’t have a lot of interest in the Biltmore. I soooo enjoyed the trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway, even though it was raining at the lower elevations and foggy at the higher ones. Don’t ask me what I saw on top of Mount Mitchell, because the answer is: NOTHING.
But I had a blast.

@MarieCoyle — I know there are a lot of waterfalls in the area, too.

Years ago I saw pictures of the Biltmore's library. That was the one room I really wanted to see. All the books plus the ceiling...absolutely fascinating. I have a thing about cool and unique libraries!
The Blue Ridge Parkway is lovely. There is a tour that is a few hours long, it starts in Asheville. I can't remember the name of the place it starts, I think near a hotel. Anyway, it's called The Appalachian Heritage History Trail, I think. I really, really enjoyed it. I wanted to go back!

Except I don’t drink coffee and I don’t get up early enough!
But you’re absolutely correct. I had dinner looking at that view.

Lovely way to end a lovely day, eating dinner while the sun sets on the mountains.

The Rockies used to have a minor league team in Asheville. Not sure if they are still affiliated or not. Probably not.

The Tourists. They’re affiliated with the Astros now.

No, not planning on it. I’d really rather spend the day chasing waterfalls.

Just make sure you make it up into the smokies. I have thought about moving to Asheville at some point, somewhere it doesn't flood though!

Beats the view on Mount Mitchell, which was nothing. (Very foggy up there, but it was still worth going.)

Glad you enjoyed it. I certainly love mountain views as well. That’s one of the reasons the Smoky Mountains is my usual “battery recharge” place to go.

It’s especially lovely, given all the destruction that happened in this part of North Carolina with Helene a couple of years ago. We didn’t have a hurricane (typhoon) hit the US last year, and believe me, we needed the break!
