Fugly Babies

As you can see they are at a very awkward stage right now. I think they enjoyed being outside for a few hours. Their little chick buddy wasn't happy about it. But it could still get through the chainlink fence and might become a kitty snack. So it had to stay inside.
It's been a very productive day for me. I got more of the brush hauled. That is probably going to take all summer. But the shed is getting close to being finished. I will for sure have it done next week. So I am hoping the goodie guy will have some more of those stands for me Friday.
I have both of the clothesline poles in their new homes. Hubby cut the second one off for me. They look good. I have baskets hanging on one now and will do the other one tomorrow. Then I can share a picture.
I still haven't figured out what to do with my chain so I can hang decorations on it. But I will get there. I want to keep it out of hubbies way when he mows. That is the biggest problem.
Enjoy the picture of the fuglies
. Hope you had a good day.

Aw, aren't they cute? (Obviously, no, if you're calling them fugly.

That's why the chick has to stay inside.

As usual, you got a lot done. When I read that list, I feel really lazy!
Your ducks aren't fugly...they are at the awkward stage, yes. They are what we locally call our half grown geese babies--tweenagers!

They get so rough looking when the feathers start coming in. Not like chickens who seem to go from fuzz to feather overnight.

When the babies start appearing in the spring here, they are simply so tiny--for about 2 days! They grow so incredibly fast, one of those ''don't blink, you'll miss it!'' things.
