So we did a bit of sight seeing today.
Not where we intended going
But where we went was ok
It's on the shore of the Cromarty Firth
It looks down to where the Caledonian Canal starts and goes to where Loch Ness starts,
So here is the photo
Now
If you expand the photo you will see a wee white cottage
It's the Loch Keepers cottage,
And he is the only one Nessie really trusts
So tomorrow I am going there, hopefully we go when the guy shouts on her

Ok, found it @ideeddentures It would seem they are more beneficial than mosquitoes but I don't know much about them either, we rarely get them here.

@rebelann
I hope you never encounter midges
They will eat you alive.
In recent years we have seen them out with summer months so they are evolving and are a real nuisance.
I rub gin on visible uncovered skin , and on my head, midges die on contact with gin

It really is
And it's not the first time we have gone there
We once went there at 3am on a really hot night , sadly quite a few others had the same idea

@Ineeddentures well that's good to see it again, if it's a view you enjoy.
That's interesting, to go there at that time of night (or morning)

Cany you get some diving equipment and see if you can find Nessie's cave?

I don't need it.
I have gone down quite deep in the Loch before and that was when I first saw Nessie.

Well it is
Scotland though, as good as it looks in a photo, is a lot better close up in person

Loch Ness , it's a lovely Loch
And Nessie isnt scary at all
But you have to approach her with respect and let her know you are friend and not foe

So Loch is a big body of water like a Lake, Loch is a Scottish word
The River Ness runs into the loch so the loch is called Loch Ness
And Nessie is the Loch Ness Monster

Aye
It's quite a chilly place to be fair
The breeze fairly blows up that stretch of water

I was surprised the picture came out so well
We were going to walk around the bay to the Loch Keepers House but my Sketchers were hurting my feet
Good excuse lol
