A Puzzle for the Ages

So I got a pair of pants free to review. The day was dry, the package was dry, the plastic bag the pants were in was dry, but when I took the pants out, they were wet. That was really weird. I went ahead and washed them before I did anything else with them.

Oh, wow! It must have been very hot in the factory that shipped the pants to you. The humid air in the factory was trapped inside the plastic bag and, with the temperature changes that happened along the way to you, the humidity came out of the air in the bag and wet the pants. Usually, the Ozarks are the most humid and warmest part of the US so the humidity stays in the air inside the bag. I guess that's not the case this time. Glad you washed them before trying them on in case that wasn't the reason they were wet in the bag.

@AmbiePam Oh, yeah, I need to apologize to you. You were right, I was misremembering what Pretty was lacking when they hospitalized her. She keeps saying I've got a mush-brain now because of the hydrocephalus and I'm forgetting things. I'm sorry.

I would suppose that you would definitely highlight that as part of the review. Honestly, the merchant should be aware of this as it would be a deterrent for anyone who made the purchase and received them that way. I always was our clothing before we wear it, all of the hands that have come into contact with the garment, at the manufacturing level, the inspection level, the sorting and packing level.......it is alot of potential germs. And in this case, I would imagine that the garment was tampered if they arrived wet. I must thank you for the title of your post, it has inspired me.....more to come.

I definitely mentioned it in the review, and in the separate place one can actually rate the sellers as well. I loved your puzzle discussion!

@AmbiePam Thanks for the idea. I might make a tradition of getting them a jigsaw puzzle as a gift every now and again.

I am going to guess it was humid when they were packed.

They’re kind of heavy for summer, but they are pretty.

Maybe it was very humid when they were packed up?

That is the only thing I could reasonably think too.

Were they supposed to be those "wet look" pants?

I am glad you washed it. They could have been chemically treated for some reason and it might be an irritant to your skin.

They does sound strange. Do you think the pants just were sitting somewhere hot before being delivered..and they just kind of got steamed or something? It seems like it=f have that happened though the bag would show evidence of it..

That was really weird. They could have sent them to you wet?

It puzzles me how that could have possibly happened.

Well done to wash them first. Weird that everything was dry but the pants.

@AmbiePam I know exactly what happened. The lady packaging them had a sudden onset need to pee and didn’t get to the bathroom in time so she put on the ones she was meant to send to you and put her own wet ones into the package and dispatched them to you and then went home relieved, dry and smelling peachy.

That's really weird, which means it was wet when they sealed it in. Did you try contacting them?

No, because they wouldn’t send me another pair anyway. Since it was free to review they only send out a few. I DID mention in the review about how it arrived wet though.

Goodness that is strange. I wash all clothes that I buy before putting any on

I usually try them on to see if they fit, and then wash them if they do.

That's really wierd. I'm sure their will be an explanation for that though..good move that you washed them before doing anything else with them. We can't be too careful
