Well, that helps explain it.

So I went to the doctor because my last appointment had to be rescheduled, and lo and behold, I had a 103 degree fever. This actually turned out to be a relief to me because I couldn’t fully explain why I felt so awful recently. One may ask, how does a person not know they have a fever that high? Well, I never feel good anyway. This actually happened a few years ago. I went to the doctor for a blood test, but I had a 102 fever then. Turns out I had a UTI with no other symptoms. It was August then, and it had been so hot I just thought I was getting wimpy.
Same with this time. I thought I was just getting wimpy, and that I needed to toughen up. No, a high fever.
Have you ever been kind of relieved of bad news?

Not to my knowledge..but I hope it is down now. Do they have any idea what was causing it? That is really pretty high.

@AmbiePam Have you ever thought of going to a nutritionist? Maybe you need more water based vegetables or something. I bet the heat has something to do with it too.

@snowy22315 I don’t think my insurance covers a nutritionist, but I can check. I should look at more veggies that aid in hydration. I drink water like crazy, but medicine I take tends to dry me out, as does whatever else that is periodically wrong with me.

Yes of course because it validates what you’re feeling

@AmbiePam I totally get that. Sometimes I'm not sure which one it is with me.

I think so. I am often relieved when we find Bob has a fever.

Sorry to hear you've been feeling that bad...and you are going through that. Doesn't sound too fun.

Yeah, when I had covid in January I went in the ER for heart palpitations. To hear it was “only” covid (and a very mild case at that) was a big relief.

At least that explains why you weren't feeling great. Hope they were able to prescribe something so that you're better soon.

I’m sorry about the fever and you feeling so badly. It’s a good thing that the appointment revealed that you have an infection and need medication. I hope you can rest and that the medicine works quickly!
