Does ANYbody approve of this?

There was a lady who was with a bunch of her friends at a house rented out for a weekend bachelorette party. The lady opened a bathroom closet, and saw a wedding dress. Another lady told her she should try it on, so she did (it fit perfectly). She then posted the picture and story on TikTok (I am not on there). Most people told her it was disrespectful, but she disagrees. She says the closet was not locked, and the kitchen utensils are okay to use so anything not hidden should be fine to use.
I think it’s really rude to try on someone else’s wedding dress. No one expects a weekend renter to try on their clothes, especially a wedding dress. What do you think? Has anyone here rented out their home on Airbnb…?

Never had a house to rent ou, What I think it that first of all the renter should not keep things liek wedding dresses hanging around and second the renter should not go through their personal things,

Yeah, I guess they should ask permission from the owner of that dress. I think it was a bit rude; even though the dress was left there, it’s still someone else’s, and I assume it’s not part of the rented property. The owner might have just left it there.

That is very rude. There is no way I would rent my home for Airbnb! There are too many untrustworthy people out there.

The Mister rents places when he is away at work, sometimes he uses Airbnb …..
I agree it’s so rude to wear someone else’s clothes …..just bad manners ….you just don’t do it !

Yes it was disrespectful. In the airbnb I have rented, there are always house rules. Curfew if there is one. What to use and what not to use.
If the house owner didn't want anybody to touch her personal belongings, especially the clothes, then she have locked the closet or left a note. Just to be sure that nobody is going to touch it.
Never rented out my house even if it's empty. I'm not comfortable with strangers staying in my place. Not unless I purchased it with the intention of putting it up for a lease.

The dress was in a closet with the door closed. She should have respected the owner's right to privacy.
