Making Up a Recipe

Yesterday, I was thinking about chicken and cream cheese, and my mom had once made a really good dish with chicken and cream cheese. I couldn’t remember for the life of me what was in it besides those two things so I thought about what I could add to those ingredients to make a filling dish. I decided to add Everything But the Bagel seasoning and mix all that up and put it in a crescent roll croissant. I even bought the whipped cream cheese to try something new, and used a rotisserie chicken. It was SO good!
I’m sure I’m not the first person to come up with that, but I feel really good about coming up with something that sounded just so good.
What’s the last dish you made?

I will be making this.
And I love anything that comes from a rotisserie chicken.

@AmbiePam I like either. But I usually get a couple scoops of garlic butter and throw it on the chicken and shake it up too.

I've made a similar meal only with using leftover turkey.
Usually after Christmas, it was just another way to eat up turkey without it tasting like some of the other leftover meals.
Yesterday I made homemade vegetable noodle soup for my husband. He loved it, which is a good thing, because the slow cooker was almost full and there is alot of it.

I've had something very similar to what you describe. It was shredded chicken, cream cheese, mushrooms, onions,. and some Swiss cheese. Wrapped in the crescent roll and bake, absolutely delicious.

Nice. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I don't know. I make up recipes all the time. Sometimes Pretty likes them and sometimes she tastes it and tells me I can have it all.

As far as cooking is concerned, I'm a great limbo. My chef is my wife. I'm an expert food taster.
