First day of school for two of them

Two of my kids have their first day of school today.
My son starts grade 6 today. Last day of elementary school. Then he's off to high school! Hard to believe it.
My eldest has her first day of grade 9 today. Then off for two days and goes back on Thursday.
My second goes back to school on Wednesday. First day of grade 8.
Their high school is making sure that not all the grades have their first day at the same time. Which is nice.
Either way, as nice as it was having them home, it's nice that they're going back to school.

I hope they all enjoy school.
School districts here all start on the same day so parents don't have to wonder where to find a babysitter for one day out of a week...

Some things they enjoy more than others, which is normal.
I can understand starting all on the same day. For the moment, it's not a huge problem for me as my kids are at the age where they don't really need a babysitter. But I know it's not always easy finding babysitters sometimes.

it's hard to wait for this day but when it's done, everything is easier.
