The movie Eddie & the Cruisers? I liked that movie mostly cuz I liked the TV show Greatest American Hero and the actor who played Tony Villicana was the lead in that movie. I thought he was the cutest thang. Yeah, I know .... but hey, he was cute ya know.
Anyway, I always knew that he wasn't the real singer of all those tunes in that movie and have always wondered who really sang them.
Well, well, wouldn't ya know, I finally found the real band that sang those songs. HA! ........ and not what I expected.
Have you ever heard of the Beaver Brown band? Or John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band?? Well, first I've heard of em and honestly they'z purdy dang good.

Yeah, I’ve heard John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band. Their hit “On the Dark Side” got a lot of airplay in the mid-80s because it sounded like Springsteen.
Saw the movie and the sequel, wasn’t that impressed by the latter.

I liked their hit but until today I'd never heard of this band. EP seems to get the current popular stuff 20 years later
I can't remember when I first saw the movie but like a lot of TV shows etc it didn't air here until it was old news on the east or west coast.

Nope. I've never heard of that movie so I looked up the actor and don't remember him playing in anything I have seen.
