Excess Goodness

Well, it’s always nice to get unexpected good things I guess, even if you don’t need them. I ordered groceries yesterday, and one bag did not belong to me. This has happened before, and they tell you to keep what you received because it is against store policy to take anything back once it has left the delivery driver. They refund the other person missing the items.
So what free stuff did I get? Men’s Speedstick deodorant, Great Value loaf Bread, Daisy squeezable sour cream (huge), a liter of whipping cream, and Crest gum detoxifying toothpaste. I’ll keep the toothpaste, but I’ll give the rest to my dad. I know they can use that stuff. They’re getting close to both being retired, and I know they could use some groceries.
Any of those items sound like something you’d use? I don’t generally eat bread, but I know most of you would take that.

I would have latched on to it but there are two of us here, not one. Fresh whipping cream has a long shelf life and can be used in many dishes...sour cream is the same, can be used for casseroles, tacos and taco salads, dressings, etc. Regular white bread isn't my favorite by any means, but I make a mean casserole with dressing, chicken, etc. that we all really like so that's no doubt what I would use it for...like I said, I cook for more than just me. It's good that you are giving it to your Dad if you can't use it--no one wants to throw food away in this day and age.

I will use the low fat sour cream, but not the fat free version--the fat free version curdles if you put it in a hot dish or a casserole. I am glad your stepmom will use it all. Real whipping cream is very pricey here.
