Pretty buys me a Caramel Protein Shake (Equate brand) normally. I don't know how much they cost, I just drink one once in a while when I'm hungry but nothing sounds good. This... morning? I think it's morning, at least, she gave me a Salted Caramel Protein shake (Oikos brand). Same amount of Protein, 170 calories (instead of the Equate 160 calories) both with 1 gram of added sugar. No artificial sweeteners in either drink.
I don't really see any other differences but I'm not seeing well today. (Even with blublocker on, myLot is hurting my eyes. I had to use a flashlight to read the two drinks.)
Does anyone know WHY Pretty might be changing me over to a different brand? (She's already back in bed asleep or I'd just ask her.) I appreciate any answers you might figure out. Thanks.
Edit: The Oikos brand is making me cough.
Edit again: Google told me to stop drinking it if it makes me cough. I took some Benadry tablets, just in case.

The Oikos brand is a lot more expensive and is making me cough. I'd rather not drink any more of it. I've only had two swallows of it. We still have some of the Equate brand shakes.

Might be for several reases. It might be all that was available. It could be lower in price. Or, it could just be the first she grabbed.

It's three times the price of the Equate brand. She is normally more tight-fisted with money than I am.

You know what’s “funny”? I used to drink Chobani and Oikos drinkable protein yogurts. I had to quit drinking Oikos because I noticed it made me sick while Chobani was fine.I don’t know what made me sick, but oh, did it.
I hope the effects of it fade.

Could it be the store was out of your usual brand or the new one was on sale?
If the new brand is making you cough maybe you’re allergic to it…

Maybe Pretty was simply trying a different brand to see if you liked it. But if the Oikos one is making you cough, I would definitely leave that one alone. Hopefully you can ask her when she wakes up and find out what made her switch.

I would stick to the Equate brand, I drink 1 a week
just for a different taste of drink.
