Too much happening in a short time.

I haven't made a discussion in a few days. Just had too much going on. The ongoing battle for the son's insurance to clear for his eye surgery is still going on. We are doing everything we can to expedite it, but oh, those wheels move SO slowly. He hasn't had a good week health wise. We are off to an appointment for him shortly, and to the treatment center as well, so it will be a full day here. A few weeks ago, I wrote here about my (yes, ex) mother in law. She passed away, it wasn't a shock but it hurt--she was very loved by all, and was such a wonderful lady. They had moved to Florida some years back, but they lived in Illinois for most of their lives and this is their home. My father in law was not well enough to travel to Illinois for any type of service for her when she passed, so it was decided to wait, he did not want a service to take place without being there. He said he knew he didn't have long, and the family could just have one service at some point. That time has arrived, he passed away in the night. My own parents passed when I was fairly young, so they functioned as my parents for many years. My children were also very close to their grandparents. I am hoping that the son's surgery and recovery that's in the very near future doesn't run into the time that is eventually decided for their services to take place. It will be in southern Illinois, a few hours from here where I live. Son wants to be there of course, and I will be expected to be there. Just a lot happening and I am hopeful that time-wise, it all works out somehow.

I am sorry for your loss. Things will turn better with your son's surgery, and hopefully his recovery will be in good time. I am sending you positive vibes for a good day away for appointments for today, as well as with dealing with your insurance company.

Thank you, Julia. I am trying to just take one thing at a time without getting overwhelmed with it all.

I hope things go smoothly with the appointments today and that the whole eye surgery insurance stuff gets settled. I'm sorry to hear about your father-in-law passing. You certainly do have a lot to deal with between your sons eye surgery and the scheduling for the service for both your in-laws.

Life does this at times and things happen that are all piled together. We will get through this. Thank you, Marilyn.

Bureacrucy can be so slow. So sorry for the law of that wonderful lady. I hope you can be there for it. I've heard they record some services which I think is a nice option for some. I do hope all is timed well so you can be where you want to be when you want to. I will be thinking of you and hope you get your rest too.

Oh, I’m so sorry. Especially for your son, because this is a lot of added emotional pain on him while he’s dealing with everything else.

I think the wheels for the surgery approval are now speeding up somewhat. The eye specialist that referred him to the one who is doing the surgery called a little while ago and said they are trying to expedite this, so we are hopeful that does help. And yes, he doesn’t need the emotional pain right now. Thank you.

Sending you so much strength, that's an incredible amount to be carrying all at once. Losing both of them so close together while also fighting for your son's surgery, honestly I don't know how you're even functioning. Hoping the timing works out and that boy gets his surgery soon, thinking of your whole family right now.
