Well the title says it all for me. I am a total wr4eck but not totally as in not totaled yet. The estimate is still underway. Here's a shot of what the car looks like. Look closely and you can see the damage and gaps all near the passenger door as well. There's also damage as far as huge gaps on the drivers door and fender as well. The whole support frame that holds the radiator etc is also mangled as well and needs replacing. That's it I just wanted to show "what a wreck I am." I'll add more as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

That is a wreck Bob. I really hope you are ok. That car looks bad. Are they certain yet on fixing it for you. Sometimes it is better to scrap them as they never are the same again after a crash. It is a lovely car though and I do hope they try their best for you. Can they fix a support frame as that sounds bad to me. Thank goodness you are still here today. I hope you wife got to work and will get home tonight. Take care Bob and I wish you good luck.

Fender damage - More dmage to my nice 2005 Buick LeSabre
This shows how much the passenger side fender was pushed/bent as well. So much of the front end was damaged. She takes the bus to work each day. And she is getting off early to catch the early bus that stops a block away from the house. So that's taken care of. The frame mentioned can be replaced not repaired. Thats the most exspensive part I guess they say.HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Is it worth fixing? Seems like you would always have problems with it. Would it ever be a safe car do drive again?

Mangled wreck - frame work bent but repairable here actually
This one shows the area holding the radiator and fenders in a straight line mangled as well. Well usually it does that. Tge very left side you can see a mangled bar. Plus the radiator is usually right against the area where it is now. So that was also shoved back a few inches. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

That is pretty bad, thank goodness you were not hurt. Make sure they get all the internal stuff fixed when they fix the body. I had a car that got hit in the front like that once, and it never ran right after the accident, and it just started to have one thing after another go wrong with it. It looks like it was a really nice car before the accident. Again, I just glad that you are OK.

I think it really hurts to see a car damaged like that. My son had accidents in his first two cars - it broke my heart to see the first one, and I made sure I didn't see the second. It's a very personal thing somehow. I hope yours can be brought back to life very quickly!

It doesn't look too bad. But, the hidden damage is what will determine if it can't be fixed. The frame of my car was bent when the dingbat ran his truck into my car.

Settle down!!!!!!! It's only a car! LOL....I'll have to check it out and see if it's really a wreck...poor little car! I think if there's too much more damage you'd probably be better off if it is totaled!

I have to laugh as that is my stress relief in situations like this. Gotta love my titles though huh? I had 5 of the top 10 discussions yesterday as well. Plus 2 days in a row I had the num,ber one discussion as far as amount of responses in that day. Gawd it gets rough though as I get so many responses after the digest goes out. ANyhow I am fine and got an ugly rental. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hey Grandpa Bob! That sure is a wreck! It's a good thing that your wife wasn't in the car yet! I'm really glad that your weren't hurt because that really is quite a shot the car took! That had to be one helluova an impact! You really were quite lucky to just walk away without a scratch to yourself! Do you think think they will consider it totalled? I don't know much about cars!

Yeah my wife freaks at just a vehicle passing us quickly legally. A hard and deep shot it got. I am leaning toewards it being totaled. It isn't sounding promising for repairs as right now it is estimated to be half the blue book value for repairs and they still are not finalized with the estimate. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Poor Buick, I hate to see that. That was a fine car you had there. I wish you could have it totaled and get a new one. Once you wreck it it never seem the same again. I see what you mean now about that small red car you got from the rental. You have to almost ball yourself up in a ball to get in the smaller car. I hope this get straighten out soon and you can get your big car back. Don't let it spoil your holidays ride in style in your red car.

It's sounding more like the cost might be as much as the car is worth, and they might would total it, although it's still a nice car. My daughter still owes 2 payments on her wrecked car and it's never been back in the shape it was before hers was wrecked. In fact, they should have totaled it, considering she had the insurance that would have paid it off and given her another one. But the insurance adjuster refused to do that! I just hope they get yours back in shape where it doesn't look wrecked or even that something that doesn't show is fixed like new. They just have ways in the body shops of not really doing the best job and they charge such outrageous prices! I got backed into in the WalMart parking lot one afternoon. We took it to one shop that wanted over $1,800 to fix the back light and fix the bumper. I took it to another shop that wanted about $600. Well, my husband fixed it himself for nothing - just pushed the light back up into the area where it should have been before being dislodged! We sold the car. It looked like a new one, but we knew it wasn't. It was a 1992 Cadillac and we'd had lots of problems with it and didn't want to pay that kind of money for fixing something on it. We sold it 2 years ago to our insurance man! He wanted to fix it up. We actually think he and his brother fixed it and put it in his brother's auction. At least we got rid of it.

from the photo, i think your car engine is not damage in any way and that would be less costly to repair but i think your insurances should cover them and you may need to fork up some money for the excess as i am not sure if u are at fault but u must have hit in the rear of some other vehicles but not head on cos it is the side that was damaged so it is still debatable who is at fault. But i am glad u are alright and the car frame looks steadt enough, if it was some cheap korean or japanese cars, the damage would have been different
