I HAVE REALIZED THAT the past few months I have developed a wierd sleeping habit, i dont know if its my age causing me such pattern but i guess they are somehow connected. I have been sleeping late for the past two months and I have lost a couple of pounds and I think I like it but I hope it wont affect the whole of my health. I sleep at about 1pm or worst case 2 am and there was one time almost 3am. And then woke up early in the morning. How about you can you share your sleeping patterns. Have a nice day and thank in advance for sharing.

I have weird sleeping habits also but I do not get much sleep at all these days. I can go to bed so tired and sleepy and get back up in a couple of hours, feeling refreshed. I am tired again in the next couple of hours though but I continue working online for several hours before laying back down.

Hello Zelmarq, you do have weird sleeping paterns. Most young people go through stages where they stay up late, but they generally sleep in the following moring. As for me it's usually to bed between 9:30 to 10:30, and up at six.

although we like to think we know whats best for our bodies sometimes the body knows best. when i was in my 40's i started not sleeping well at all and now at 59 i sleep maybe 4-5 hours a nite and thats all i need, then out of the blue i'll get a good nites 8 hours of sleep, so i think the body is doing what we sometimes cant.

Its really nice if we could give our bodies the 8 hours rest but we are so busy and sometimes doing lots of nonsense things.hehehehe Anyways rest is really important for all of us to have a healthy lifestyle. Sleeping too much is also not good.

I used to have that sort of sleeping pattern... where i can't sleep early but would wake up early in the morning... it even came to a point that a would wake up in the middle of the night and not be able to sleep anymore... as i recall... that was the time when i was quite stressed out with work and some personal issues... and when i was able to settle them... my sleeping pattern became normal again...

I sometimes can't go to sleep if I am very worried or worn out with my work. With all the tasks and papers flying in my head, it is difficult to quiet it down. It is said better avoid TV and computer before going to bed, as radiance can affect the natural wave in our brain and our body may not be able to settle down afterwards. Some people find reading helps them to relax and sleep easily but it doesn't work for me. My head will start spinning around once I am reading. :D

I'm having the same sleeping habit...it's slowly crushing me. I just bought a book named "no more sleepless nights" from amazon but i haven't started reading it yet. My problem has always been cause of my husband's snoring. The thing is my body got so used to his loud snoring and my staying up so late over the years that eventhough he sometimes doesn't snore at all i still can't get myself to sleep. This is so not good....we need to get at least 6 hrs of straight sleep without interruption. I'm losing focus on things whenever i don't get enough sleep.

i see to it that i have 8 hours sleep since this is what we need. Need more time to sleep early so that you can wake up early and be ready for another working days. If we have enough sleep we are relax to work for the whole day.

Hello Zelmarq. I still have the same sleeping habit when I come back to work in the school after the summer vacation. I usually sleep at eleven or so and sometimes earlier. I get up at after six thirty in the morning or around seven. But when I enjoy my holidays, I usually sleep late.

I also sleep late, sometimes I sleep at 3am or 5am. But I also wake up late because my work starts at 2pm. I'm trying to change my sleeping habits though, because it's not good that we always sleep late. But for you, I think you should sleep early... Especially that your work starts early in the morning. Have a great day. ^_^

mostly i believe that our sleeping habits will affect our sleeping patterns if we often sleeping late at night doing things then it may cause us to have insomnias. so it is better not to abuse ourselves and we have to sleep on time always.

It is very common for me to sleep at anytime. I don't have a fix schedule, weekdays i will sleep earlier, maybe around 1 to 2 am. Weekend i sleep around 3 to 4 am and wake up in the afternoon. I know it is not a good habit, sigh i am trying to set the routine but just lack of discipline.

Normally I go to bed around midnight. It actually counts late for most people. Since last year I found difficult to keep sober after 11pm; my body apparently went to sleep mode earlier than before. And I gradually lose the ability to sleep late in the morning (I used to being very good at it; sometimes I can sleep until 11 am). I think age is the most obvious fact; my bio-clock changes throughout the time. In my twenties I needed at least 9 hours sleep in order to live a normal life; now I can carry on my daily life all right with just 8 hours (it would kill me two years ago if I only had 8 hours sleep.) But I don't have a good sleeping habit. I always wake up at night; two to three times are normal, sometimes more than that. I will be awake for half to an hour before I fall into sleep again. Compared with people around me, I probably have the most rubbish sleeping pattern.

Well. Recently I have one time I got to sleep 5 in the morning and wake up 7 the same day. I have no intention of doing that. I have difficulty putting myself to sleep. I don't like to see a doctor because they might have negative to say about this problem of mine. I can barely sleep. I read books and watch television to help me sleep. Sometimes a warm cup of milk to help me put to sleep.

Wow, I have the same thing but it doesn't make me lose weight - tell me your secret...lol But seriously, I am kind of nocturnal, but then I do tend to wake early as my husbands alarm goes off at 5.30am for work! I put it down, for me, to a natural inclination which was added to by working in theater and so either rehearsing or performing late at night. And then I met my husband online, I was in England and he in America so we used to talk online at weird hours because of the 5 hour times difference (when he got home from work it was 6 his time and 11pm mine) So I think its kind of a natural thing for me, though at times I have worked early mornings and my body gets used to a different cycle but I always revert back to this one.

I think this could happen to anyone for a couple of reasons. When you have coffee or tea after 6 pm or when you have something very important to accomplish by tomorrow and you're thinking a lot about it, are just some of the causes of this. Personally, when I am in that situation and I really need some good sleep in the night, I make some light exercises for few minutes. After doing this, just let go and don't think that you want to sleep. It has worked for me many times. Why don't you give it a try?

I think that habit is made by ourselves.ONCE I sleeped at 2 a.m or 3a.m for mouths and it made no effective on my work.So i decided to change my time.Lasting for two weeks,I go to bed at 11 p.m and get up at 7:30 a.m.Now i am in a good state of work and study. When i did it at first day,i can't sleep.i just recumbencied on bed with eyes closed and thought without anything.Just did it for days, i found my sleeptime changing and sleep quility getting better.
