If president obama wasnt black he would be loved by all.The level of disrespect that is taking place is only because he's black. He's just trying to see us out of the mess that Bush got us in.

You say that Obama's just "trying to see us out of the mess that Bush got us in." From that, am I safe in assuming you were not and are not a fan of President Bush? That's racism, if so! You only think he got us into a mess because he's white. ^ Note the utter ridiculousness of such a statement. I've heard the "Obama dissents are racists" argument so much that I've started calling everyone a racist. Hell, the word doesn't mean a thing anymore. If someone so much as pretends to even halfway disagree with ANY policy decision or word from Barack Obama's mouth, the cries of "racism" start. Would you feel better if the world was like so: Everyone has to do whatever any non-white individual says, and everyone has to pledge their loyalty to that person and never, ever, under any circumstance, disagree--and certainly never disrepect--this person solely due to their race. In itself, that's racism. Matersfish: adding pennies to posters since 2008.

Um....do you honestly believe that or are you just trying to get a bunch of responses to try and make a few pennies off this site? But tell me this.....if people who do not agree with Obama are racist...than why do I hate Pelosi and Reid? They are white. Heck I don't even hate Obama. DOn't know the man personally. SO I can not really say what kind of a person he is. But I can say I do not like his policies. Why? Because I don't believe in BIG government. That has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with how he wants to run this country. I did not even like McCain. I was really disappointed in our choices from the two major parties in this last election. NO one was talking about balancing the budget or how to pay down the national debt. These are really important things you know. Oh and just so you know.....I really did not like Bush either. I was glad to see him leave the white house. I think he will go down in history worse than Carter. Anyway, hope you enjoy the penny you got off this response.

Um ... even he doesn't buy that. He recently said on Letterman that he was black BEFORE the election. Do you also believe that all blacks who didn't like George W. Bush are racist?

The major problem is that people are too stubborn to see the reality of things. They choose to give up their ability to think for themselves to others who preach, like the birthers and 9/11 truthers. Fact is he may be black, but he does have the support within the US and from the other countries. It is not even a year yet for his presidentship and he has already accomplished some things that Bush could not do within four years. That does say something, hopefully people will learn to see and judge others within looking at race or religion.

Well enlighten us on what all he has done other than fly around the country and take his wife to New York for a night out what has he done, give us all $300. wow I am sure that done a lot for the people losing their jobs and their homes. I had to take daughter to child support to get some papers filled out the other day, it is inside the welfare department. The line was clear outside the building, people filing for welfare and medicaid for their kids so they can eat. So tell me what else has he done that Bush couldn't do. where is the reality of what he has done other than pis,s off Russia and Poland. I know you are a Obama groupie, nothing he can do is bad, all I see is him trying to push a package for health care that no one wants, that he brags that it is urgent, must be done now, but won't go into effect for 3 years, now that is real urgent. Guess the ones that are sick now maybe can die off before his plan goes into effect, and where is this plan, I don't see that he ever had one, maybe an idea. It is you that can't see reality in what is happening with him in office. AND NO IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH COLOR SO DON'T EVEN GO THERE.

But what else can a man do in country where you have people that rebelling 24/7 rather than sitting down and get things straighten out. Its hard enough to convince people but yet it is even harder to work with them. The situation in the US is quite bad. But look at other countries also, you ain`t the only one.

And also just for your information i am not an obama groupie. This is exactly what i mean, people quickly rush to judge about others and their views before getting thins straighten out.

Disrespect, my rear end! Where were these same ruffled feathers when Bush was getting slammed left and right by ALL of the same people who are now defending Obama? Did you see some of the stuff that they wrote about President Bush? It was deplorable! Oh, and don't even get me started on what they did to Sarah Palin. It was okay when liberals were bashing Bush and other conservatives, but now that Barry O. is in office, it's suddenly not cool to criticize his policies in any way, shape, or form. Can you say HYPOCRISY? Sure...I knew you could.

Most of the people I hear or read about that disagree with the President have very specific reasons and are able to give examples. The people who charge that to oppose him is to do because they are racist never have any specific examples or facts. It is the liberals who keep bringing up the race issue. It seems that everything is race based. IF we are racist they those who voted for him, excluding the Blacks, must have done so because he was half white? Remember President Bush, when asked about then Senator Obama responded that he was an articulate Young man, and ha was accused of being racist. Senator Biden when asked what he thought about Senator Obama responded he was a clean, articulate black man. - not considered a racist statement. Please exoplain?

That has got to be the most narrow minded bigoted thing I've heard in a long time. To assume that anyone who doesn't like him is a racist is outrageous. I'll be the first to say I don't like him but it has nothing to do with his skin color. It has to do with him, his policies, his actions and the deceiving he has been doing. For the record he isn't just black, his mother was white, his father was arab and black mixed which makes him bi-racial. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

He's not black, he's biracial, and people dislike him because he's a lying politician (which is synonymous with 'scumbag' in my mind). That said, I rate this thread a 'fail', as I'm 90% sure you're trolling.

leahsmom - You couldn't be spouting anything farther from the truth than this. You call us all racists - get real. I am as white as driven snow but am far from being racist. Mr. Obama to date has been a total waste of space in the White House. I was not particularly impressed with McCain but chose him as the lesser of two evils when I cast my vote. Our children, grandchildren and yes even my great grandchildren will be paying for the debt this man has got our country into in the 9 months he has used the name of President. He has lied repeatedly while in office and those that seem to follow hanging onto his coatails do not have the sense to see what is happening - one of the main ones is Nancy Pelosi. He wants to bring in healthcare reform HIS way - he doesn't care what anyone else thinks or what is best for the people of the USA, and they are the ones who are going to have to bear the brunt of the cost. I will be the first to agree that somethings in our healthcare system need changed but not in the way Obama wants it to be. My husband is British and they have national health care and it is to say the least a disgusting shambles. Waiting lists so long for many things that people die while waiting. Filthy dirty hospitals, incompetent staff, more paper shufflers than hands on care givers. Is this what you want for yourself and your family because I can assure you from what I have heard about Obamas plan it is what you are going to get. He started off by advocating and getting passed his stimulus plan - many of us got $300 but where has the rest been wasted. Plans to give billions to ACORN who are facing all kinds of charges because of corruption and then Obama dares to say that he didn't know ACORN were getting any federal funds. What a lie - he has been involved with that bunch of people for over 20 years - in fact many of the illegals they registered to vote were what put him in office - but you don't see him offering to resign because he was probably elected because of those illegal votes - heck no he doesn't have that much decency. You dare to call me racist because I think these thoughts and make these comments about Mr. Obama - well think again. I have a mixed race great grandaughter - a beautiful, intelligent child. Her great grandmother on her fathers side and Dr. Martin Luther King were cousins. Had Colin Powell run for President I would have been at the polls when they opened to vote for that man but he chose not to. That was a sorry day for the USA but he chose not to because of his wife. He thought she was more important than his political career and I admire him for that. There isn't a racist bone in my body. It is my opinion that you need to stop being racist - take a break from posting on MyLot and do a little research to get your head straight. When you come back you may be able to join a discussion or start one with a clear head.

Race has nothing to do with whether obama is loved by all or not. Bush didn't get us into the mess we're in and obama isn't going to get us out of it, the problems started well before either bush was in office. There have been plenty of other presidents that didn't get respect and they weren't black. I think the race card has been pulled one too many times already, can you think of any other reason(s) that obama might not be loved and respected by all?

I really think that while some may not like him because he is black, that many just simply do not like his policies and ways of doing things. Many many white people voted for Obama and some of them are now questioning some of his ways.

Actually, the liberal media are so afraid of the fact that so many American viewers are just stupid enough to believe that any criticism of Obama is based on race, that they will never air one report with any negativity in it about Obama - no matter what he does. Obama love is high. No, people do not oppose him because he's black. It's actually the main reason half the people and all of the press love him. Plus, they get to say really nasty things about anyone who disagrees with them and can call them racists. Goodness, if he weren't black you'd have to take a long, hard look at his radical socialism and terrorist ties. You might have to view his policies honestly and you might even disagree with one of them. Horrors! Thank your lucky stars that you have a black president. Otherwise, you wouldn't have this ridiculous and baseless accusation to make and look at all the pennies you would lose.

Have you ever read Thomas Sowell or Walter Williams? Both men are black. Would you say their disrespect for Obama is because he's black or maybe it's because he's only half black. There are some who disrespect Obama because he's black, but the majority disrespect his policies because they believe they are bad for the country.

Wow..... that is a very broad, ridiculous statement. I do not, nor have i from the beginning, supported Barack Obama. The color of his skin means NOTHING to me. I also do not support Nancy Pelosi (must be because she is a woman?) or Barney Frank (speech impediment?) Harry Reid (idiot?) Rahm Emmanuel (hispanic?)There eally are too many t count. It is however, because I do not like when somebody stomps on my Constitution, tells me they know whats best for me, and fundamentally try to change the best country in the world. I would never say, think or believe that a black man could not be president. I care about what he stands for.

He's black? really? thanks for pointing that out. I guess i'll have to start disrespecting him now, as from what i gather from your post, that is what we are suposed to do to black people. (please note the sarcasm) I guess i am just weird. I determine who i am going to respect and love based on how a person acts and presents themself, not by what they look like. Whith out going into my political views, as that is a subject i despise talking about as one always has to be on the defensive, i will simply say that i see Obama as a man who had a goal of getting himself into a position where he could try and do his best to make a difference, and possibly better the world. Whether other people agree with the descisions he makes or the way he goes about this is up to them, but everyone should respect him for his tenacity to have a dream, go for it, and ultimately get to the place he wants to be in life.
