I have come to the conclusion that autumn is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the autumn holidays and I love the chill in the air. I love the colors of the leaves as they prepare to flutter to the ground. There are so many things that I love about this part of they year. What about you, what are some of the things that you love about autumn and why. Do you think this is your favorite part of the year?

I don't know what it is, or how to explain it, but there is a special feeling in the air when the season starts to change from Summer to Fall. I have always loved this time of year, even when I was a kid. Fall also brings a welcome relief from the Summer heat here in the Southern U.S., so Fall is always a welcome change for most of us who live here...

It was rough here in Northwest Florida for sure. Some days, it was so hot outside that it was hard to even breathe out there, let alone do any sort of work.

And I would imagine that you have to deal with high humidity all the time as well. We have a lot of humidity here and that is really worse than the heat itself.

This year I think that the welcome change into fall is especially true. For us this summer it was hotter than I remember it being for many, many years.

Fall is my favorite season as well. I love the changing colors of the leaves, I love the harvest colors and I definitely love the change in temperature. This past summer was the worst! I am greatful we are getting a break in the temperature. We live close to the mountains, and lately every weekend we go up to the mountains to see the changing colors. It is so beautiful! I haven't broken out the autumn colors yet, but I will be this weekend. I change the pillows, vases, comforter, table clothes, etc.

Mammoth Cave is great! We have been several times. We live down in Chattanooga, but my sister lives in Chicago. Every time we drive up there we always stop around that area. We try to go to the actual cave once a year (money allowing). My kids love it there and so does my husband (or, and I enjoy it as well). My husband loves exploring caves and has been to a large amount of different ones over the years. I am not as big of a fan of caves as he is, but Mammoth Cave is one of my favorites.

Well, you are practically right around the corner from us. We live in central Kentucky. The last time that I went to Mammoth Cave was actually over eight years ago, before I even knew that I was pregnant with my daughter.

How fun that you've been going to the mountains to see the changes in the colors as they occur. My daughter's fall break is next week and if I can get the money together between now and then I'd like to take the kids and my husband for an overnight at Mammoth Cave because of the forestry there and also because of the fact that it is somewhere my children have never been.

My favorites, in order, spring, autumn, summer, winter. I like spring and autumn weather equally, but I love spring more because things are green and flowering.

I think that the reason that I really like both of the seasons is because of the fact that there are so many things that change in both spring and in autumn.

in my country there are only 2 seasons:summer and rainy.I would love to experience 4 seasons though.I would love to experience autumn.I like that it is starting to be chilly.I also love the colors of autumn.I like that when you look anywhere, you can see a lot of orange and brown leaves falling into the ground.

I don't think that I would like to live in an area where I wasn't able to experience all of the four seasons. I've always lived in a deciduous area and though I've visited places that don't experience all of the seasons, I can't picture myself living in any of those places.

I used to love getting back to school, and seeing my friends again. And I've always associated this with autumn. Now that I've been long gone from school, I still have the same feelings when the season comes around. I guess the start of the football season, and later on the hockey season also makes it a favorite.

When I was younger I liked the start of football season as well because of the fact that my brother was on the high school team. However, now that we are older it isn't something that I really think about.

I do love Autumn too. I like to see how the leaves changes in colors. How they become yellow, brown or cold. Then the wind will blow and the leaves are like dancing while they fall to the ground. Last week we hiked and I saw many leaves on the ground and I want to lie there and sleep. The leaves have a calming effect on my. Whenever I see dry leaves on the ground I feel happy. They have different shapes and color too. I also like the air of Autumn it is breezy but not that cold. But I notice that this autumn the air is warm, last year I was wearing my sweater during this time but I am wearing sleeveless and shorts as if it is summer. One thing that scare me during winter is the leafless tree at night. They look like witches. :)

The leaves here have gone to beautiful colors here within just the past couple of days. There are brilliant shades of red and orange and yellow in the leaves.

I don't actually jump in the leaves anymore, however, I love the pleasure that the children share in jumping in the leaves after I've raked them up a big pile of them to jump in.

I like shirtsleeve weather and I actually like sweater weather as well. However, I don't really like the part of the year where we literally have to bundle layers upon layers of clothing on.

I really don't know that I would like to live in a place where I didn't have the opportunity to enjoy all four of the seasons in the course of a year. For us, there really is something that I love about all four of the seasons.

Out here, I think summer is just starting!!! I don't know why it's so hot "now" when it was fairly cool most of the summer. I love it when the mornings are overcast and there is that constant chill in the air . . . but like I said, we're not getting that now. I used to love that new school year feel for September (now I can feel it for my kids). I LOVE Halloween for October . . . this family totally gets into it and the many activities/events for it around town. And November is the jump start for winter, though it's not seriously ever winter out here. I love Thanksgiving food! I'm not sure it's my favorite part of the year (especially now since it's hot) . . . but I do love the upcoming holidays towards the end of the year.

It honestly is hard to pinpoint one favorite time of the year because there really is something to love about all of the different parts of the year. But there is a lot to love about autumn in my opinion.

Autumn is such a season to behold! The leaves begin to change their color. There is such beauty in this season. It is filled with the sweet aromas of holiday baking. it is a time when friends and family get trogether to share their lives. Autumn is a time of giving thanks for what you have.

Hi dorannmwin, I really love autumn season, especially I really like golden maple leaves, the trees, which symbolize winter will come.Autumn season is a harvest season,we collect soybean, peanut, orange, paddy rice etc.Our people really like this season. Do you have anything should harvest in autumn?

We have a lot of things that are harvested in the autumn. Off the top of my head I can think of apples and squashes (the most popular of which is pumpkins), there are also a lot of autumn vegetables that are harvested as well but I'm not able to name those right off the top of my head.

I really can't relate to that since we don't have any autumn season here. The only thing here are sun and rain so its either hot, moist, or wet.

I certainly like autumn. Very pleasant, and so lovely to see the leaves changing color. Weatherwise, not too hot and not too cold yet. Autumn is an excellent time to drive out to the country-side and scenic places, and enjoy holidays. I often go out to my favorite resorts and enjoy.

Autumn is my favorite season. It's also the name of my God Daughter, because my best friend (her dad) feels the same way about the season. Halloween is hands down my favorite holiday of the year. I have a friend whose birthday is on Halloween and I tell her every year how lucky she is to have such an awesome birthday. Hmm, there's so much to love about Autumn. That chill in the air that's not so overwhelming you want to stay indoors, but is invigorating instead. The smell of the leaves when you walk through the woods. Apples. I love apples. Actually, I love apple desserts! Apple crisp, apple pie, apple cobbler, apple fritters, apple turnovers, caramel apples. Not to mention apple cider. A nice warm cup of mulled apple cider after a day of raking leaves in the chilly air. Nothing quite like that. Autumn is also when people start lighting their fireplaces, and the smell of wood burning from peoples chimneys is something I find very pleasant. The colors of the leaves, too. Flowers are beautiful, yes, but Autumn leaves are absolutely breathtaking. I've always wanted to travel up and down and far and wide checking out the changing of the foliage. I think that would be a trip worth taking someday.

I've been out there twice in my life and both times have been during the summer, I guess that is what you would call the very hot season. Despite the fact that it was so hot, I really did love to get to see an area that was so vastly different than what we have here.

Dora- My favorite part of fall/autumn is the Samhain. We just celebrated the Mabon yesterday, but the Samhain (October 31) is my favorite holiday. It is the last of the three harvest festivals (Lammas, Mabon, Samhain), and I simply adore all of the festivities that go with it. I generally start decorating October 1st. I also love this weather. We now are into our cool crisp fall weather with rain and wind. I love the storms, the smell, and the way you just feel comfy cozy inside away from it all. The walks are wonderful because no longer do I feel the heat and mugginess of summer, but the cool crisp revitalizing air. I know, it sounds funny, but I simply love this time of year. I love the color changes of the leaves and the last of the fall flowers that are still striving to stay in bloom. And I simply love this time of year for baking. It's when I do most of my baking from pies to spice cake. It is also a time of reflection for me with the time I spend inside. It's a time to re-do the rooms, clear out the clutter, and simply enjoy the abundance my family has been blessed. Namaste-Anora

I can't say that I do most of my baking during this time of the year. However, I can say that I do start baking when the weather starts to get a little bit cooler. It is really hard for me to bake during the summer because it just gets too hot in the house.
