Just Celebrated 12 Wonderful Yrs. of Marriage

I am not sure if anyone really noticed or not, but I was not on myLot most of yesterday. Yes, it was Sunday and so I had Church that I faithfully attend every Sunday morning, but it was also my Wedding anniversary. We just celebrated 12 wonderful yrs. Yes, it has had it's share of ups and downs Financially, plagued with some Health issues on my side, etc. but overall I cannot think of a better man than my husband to be married too.
We were a little strapped with money but since we buy a Red Lobster $50 Gift certificate around the first part of December just for our Anniversary we did go out and celebrate some. We had a wonderful dinner. I had Lobster and shrimp, and my husband had Salmon. Since their were 2 lobsters, even though they were smaller we shared the Lobster and split the salmon up and it was a really nice dinner. After that we did some Grocery shopping for the week, rented 2 movies, and just came home and relaxed and watched the movies.
Overall, it was a wonderful day and a great way to end the weekend after all the other things that happened. Just shows me no matter what is going on in my life I have a wonderful husband who cares and Loves me thru it all. Hope your weekend went well.

Nixt Saturday, we celebrate 11!. We were married in 2000. I wanted as close to Feb. 14 as I could get.

Congratulations! I am glad you had a good time. You deserve it. It is nice when you can treat yourself. We will be celebrating our 11th this year, although we have been together for 17.

Congratulations on yours too my friend. We had a very wonderful time and wish we had the $$ and time to do more things like this as well. Just being able to go somewhere and eat a nice relaxing dinner and coming home and relaxing made it worthwhile for sure.

Thanks for the anniversary wishes. It was so nice to be together, as since I work Swing and my husband works days it leaves little time but the weekend to be together as well. The weekend is here, and time to enjoy being around my husband as well.

Thanks for the well wishes. Personally even in the Bad days I would not trade my husband as he seems to be so understanding and helpful even the days I cannot see any good coming out of them as well.

Thanks so much. Many days I have always wondered if it was worth it, but then many days I know I could not do without him for sure. I think in all marriages if they only learned to be more open, honest, trusting and develop a Love and relationship for each other and God, they too would have a better chance as well.

Congratulation. Today, marriages have become fragile. And celebrating your 12th wedding anniversary is something great and not many couples are able to pull through that length of time in their marriages. Well, I have successfully journeyed 29 years of my marriage filled with mixture of pain and joys. I have to thank God for giving me the strength to pull through despite the many obstacles that I went through in my marriage.

Yes, there are many obstacles that many marriages face with Health issues, Financial issues, sometimes job losses, etc. I just continue to Praise god for whenever we go thru something, it usually makes us stronger, and even in the Bad days I know in time it will truly be worth it all.

Congratulations on your 12 years of marriage. That's a record for a marriage in this day and age. It is always nice hearing good news like this when so much is going haywire around the world. I enjoy hearing from people who have obviously made an effort to keep their marriage alive.

Well it is not always easy, but worth it. That is why from time to time we just have to take time for ourselves going somewhere nice to eat, and just spending time together and talking. If more people could learn to talk and communicate in their marriage and spend time together more marriages would have a chance for sure.

Well, over the yrs. my husband and I have had to endure a lot of hardships and things and I think that is what continues to draw us closer. Many times I think not having the $$ is what actually teaches us the importance of trying to save and plan ahead when we can as well. Personally I could not be happier.

Wonderful....i really think that your husband and you had a great and nice dinner in the restaurant. This dinner will make you had a better intimate relationship?it is difficult for some people to stay together about 10 years or 20 years.your husband and you have had a long time to live together,i think this is very outstanding result.apparently, in our life there are always some defects which are existed, maybe we cannot tackle most of them, but we should maintain a optimistic spirite and good emotion. i think we will have a better life.

Personally I think the reason why a lot of relationships never last this long is due to the lack of communication and being friends as well as Lovers, and just being there thru the thick and thin. We have our share of issues but thru it all we seem to get by. Thanks for your thoughts.

That is so great, happy Anniversary and Happy Valentine's day.
I went to the birthday party, I could've easily passed, even considered doing it, but the roomie said that she and her mom wanted me there. I had a nice time talking to the neighbor and the brother's girl friend, even was the ONLY one to catch the dog before he made off with the chicken legs!

Congratulations KrauseHome on your recent wedding anniversary! My husband and I celebrated our fifteenth this month and we too had a nice dinner out. It was a real treat because it is not in our budget to eat out very often which explains why we took our little daughter with us! It is during special celebrations like anniversaries that we experience gratitude for having a great life partner who has been with us through thick and thin.

That actually sounds like the two of you had a nice anniversary celebration. I definitely don't think that you would be telling the truth if you hadn't admitted that your marriage has shared its ups and downs. I've only been married for half as long as you have, but I know that there have definitely been our share of ups and downs in our relationship. However, I can't wait until our anniversary because this year I want to do something really special for my husband.
