We love to have kids but only for a limit that we can sustain their needs. Christians aim is not like other religions aim. They want to control the world by their religion. They allow their members to have kinds more than their capacity to support. Christian is know to be calm and respectful. We don't want to fight against any people and killed due to faith.

Not at all. No one says Christians don't like having kids. Every one wants their own kids of course irregardless of religion.

Irregardless: A humorous redundancy. Webster's New World Dictionary of the American Language.

"The American Language" I am glad we finally have an admission that Americans do not speak English. As this is an English language forum kindly amend your mode of expression. all the best urban

I don't think it's because they are Christians. I think they are perhaps better educated and choose not to breed indiscriminately. Of course there will always be thoughtless, stupid people who bring unwanted children into the world, children they won't care about and be unable to feed and provide for, children they will neglect and/or abuse, but this happens everywhere. Do you ever read your responder's posts? You really should comment back once in a while - it's quite rude not to.

I think it is the European part. Many European women think career first and then kids. and many nevder want to have kids. the same goes for some Americans too. But many Christian women from other countries have many children!

I think you misunderstood it, friend. It's the government that impose family planning so that it control the growing population. Because if they can't do so...the supply of commodities will not be sufficient in the coming years...

I don't think that you are right about this at all. Instead, I tend to think that the reason that the population is down now is not because of the fact that people don't like to have kids, I instead think that it is due to changes in the way that people live their lives today as opposed to the way that the world was in the previous generation. For example, when my parents were growing up, it was very traditional for the mother to stay home and raise her children and thus she tended to have more children. In today's society, it really takes two people working outside the house to support a family and thus women don't have as much time to have as many children as they had in the past.

that is ridiculous christians like to have kids just like anyone else. It is the lifestyle today where Europeans and North Americans do not want to have large families of 6 kids and more. It is not that we don't like kids.

I am a christian in the United States, have been all my life. and I have never heard of that, quite the opposite.I know of 3 or 4 christian pastors that have 7 children.I know many christian families that have just one child, but the average is 2 children. However there are some that have 3 or 4 kids.Myself I have 3,a step daughter,3 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren. And catholics(a religion that is part of christianity) do not believe in birth control no matter what the reason is and most of those families have many children. Some of the other christian families only have 1 or 2 children, not by choice but by medical reasoning. Then there are some that chose to only have 1 or 2 children because of financial reason's or just that is what makes them happy.

No, it is not correct. Christians like to have kids. I think the population has nothing to do with the religion. The European population is decreasing because the people think it is a big pressure or responsibilities to bring up a child. So they want to enjoy the lives and that's it.

Hi Tushavi, It has nothing at all to do with religion. The world is getting overpopulated and it's good for all to have only one or two children. Blessings.

As a rule, we Christians try to have only have the numbar of children that we think we can suport comfortably . Of course, there are exceptions. Some Christians don't believe in birth control, but most do. At least, they practice it. Overpopulation its a big problem in most developing countries. As to whether we like children. We like children very much. That is why we try to not have more than we can take care of.

Does it have to do with religion if the European doesn't want to have kids? Here in our country we have many Christians here but it was never discuss about the population or not having kids.

It has nothing to do with christianity at all! It depends how couple can afford it in terms of incomes and cost of living!

Umm, where are you getting 'Christianity hates having kids' from "80% of Europeans are Christian?" Anyway, 'be fruitful & multiply' was the command of the Old Testament; the command of the New was "Love one another as I (Jesus) have loved you." You could read "have children" into that (if they are 'your cross to bear'), but it's not as plain-as-day as 'multiply.' Lord Jesus' command is more like 'lay down your life to take it up again when the world gives it to you.'

What? have children and interfere with their having fun? Honestly, they aren't religious, they are secular "Christians" and more culturally Christian than actual believing Christians.

Not all Europeans are Christians. It is incorrect to singleout Christianity as the reasons for population decline in European countries. It is individual choice and nothing to do with religion.

I chose to have just two children because that was what my husband and I could afford. We could raise them with enough food, afford medical bills and have enough to take them places to expose them to other cultures then send them to college. Any more children and they would not have those benefits--they would miss out on so much and most likely just graduate school, get married, have children, live in poverty--and their children would repeat the cycle. We did not want our children to be poor and perpetuate the cycle of poverty, creating generations that shamed our name by living off the government dole. So, we chose to have only 2 children because we loved them and wanted them to have a good life. If we had had more money we would have had more children!

Christianity has no problem with having kids, and the Bible says that more kids is a blessing. However, most people are not Christians. Even those that call themselves "christian" do not know what that means. They do not know the teachings or beliefs of Christ.

I don't think so.Perhaps they are more interested in family planning.I think, they know the less kids they have, the better they would be able to bring them up.The population of the globe is multiplying day by day.I don't see any point in going on giving birth to more and more children looking after whom is beyond our ability. That may be the reason behind their having less children.

I don't think that the religion decides to have kids or not. It depends on the country you live in and the culture you are in. Considering western countries, as i think they are not having kids or having a small family means, they can't afford more children as they are busy with their work. Thats not something related to their religion.
