Hi Elenakat13, when i was a kid, i wanted to be a pharmacist. When i was even younger, i could only think of the term called, "doctor", because i was too young to know the word pharmacist until i went to high school. I wanted to save peoples' life, and i want to cure them from their sickness. I like to see people living healthily and happily with their family and friends. So, the only way to achieve that is to be a pharmacist. A doctor can only perform surgeries, but it depends whether the patient can be saved after the surgery. As for a pharmacist, they invent new medicines to cure unknown illness. They perform huge research and development in order to find new cure. At that time, i was quiet a passive type, i do not like to go outside and move around, but rather be in the building and do my work. So, being a pharmacist would be perfect for me, as i would be in the laboratory most of the time doing research and development to invent new medicines.

Nope, switched to finance and accountancy line. Last time we have no one to teach us how to select our courses after we finished our high school. So, since my mathematics was top score, so my family said i should go for accountancy line. My dream lapsed from then on... Well, i suppose things and environment changed for a reason.

When I was a child I remember very well what I did not want to be: a secretary. However, I was not really sure what I wanted to be! One thing led to another and I ended up studying to become a librarian, a job I enjoyed doing for many years. After a few years the profession I had selected changed completely, as suddenly the Internet came to be and people could suddenly be their own librarians! I think librarianship taught me to be curious and I still like to investigate and discover things.

I think that I wanted to be a cowgirl when I was 8 or 9. After that, I just wanted to grow up, so that I could get off the farm.

I wanted to be a doctor, a teacher, a writer, a dentist. There are a lot of things on my mind when I was a kid. Most of all, I wanted to be a journalist. But when I graduated high school, I decided to go to an IT school instead and not pursue my dream of becoming a journalist. There are a lot of factors to be considered. I graduated college but I still want to travel and write about places. That's what I'm pursuing now. Don't get me wrong, my life's not messed up :D

Hi Elenakat, When I was perhaps about nine years old and a very skinny kid, weighing about forty pounds soaking wet, I wanted to be a BOXER - and not any old boxer, I wanted to the HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD! I'm not sure how long I thought that way, but it probably for a very short time. I wasn't a bully either, in fact I was a very shy kid. As an adult I've always had a good laugh when I think of that childhood ambition. Blessings.

I think I cannot remember if I ever envisioned of what I would want to be during my childhood days. I just became of what I was today These days however I wish I became a teacher. This is because after graduating from college, all I did was to teach. I am a nurse just like you but it seems I have no place in the hospital

Batman, or--as Ra's al Ghul calls him--a Detective. But then I figured out I could only do that if my Dad (and/or Mom) were rich. Nurses are awesome! Nuns for human health!

When I was a kid, I am particularly attached to becoming an educator or more commonly known as a teacher. I liked my teachers and I love the what they do, which is to educate the future generation in many things other than those related to their curricular. A good teacher can inspire students in a lot of things such as how a person should be like in the future. Nevertheless, we cannot deny the fact that most of us would not have been what we are today if there is no teacher.

When I was a kid, my ambition is to become a teacher. Of course, most of my classmates wishes to be one like I wishing for. It is a noble profession and I want to help kids to become intelligent and knowledgeable about almost everything. But it did not happened because I am just a plain ordinary employee in a Telecom company but I really enjoying my work so there is no regrets at all.

When I was a kid I had always wanted to be a nurse. May be because my mom and my grand mother were both nurses. I liked the idea of looking after the sick and needy in hospitals. I remember regularly visiting hospitals too to just be there with the sick and comfort them. But then when I grew up and realized I had to study medicine to become a nurse I gave up the idea.

I wanted to be a teacher. Everyone knew (at least my parents and my cousins did) that I would be a teacher someday. I would teach my cousins and play teacher all the time when we were younger. Now, I am teaching as a trainer and a part-time teacher in our University. I guess I got what I wanted. I just wished that I also wanted to be rich someday. hehe. Have a great mylot experience ahead!

From the time that I was old enough to talk, I always said that I wanted to be a pediatrician when I grew up. This was a dream that I carried with me from the time that I was very young until the time that I was a junior in college. However, that dream changed at that time because I realized how much longer that I would have to go to school and I didn't think it would be possible for me to fulfill my other dream in life and that was to be a mother. At that point in time I decided to go into nursing because it didn't require as much school and that way I could be a mother as well. At this point in time, I'm not working because I quit working to be with my children when they were small. I am planning on trying to go back to work part time at the beginning of next year.

When I was a kid I told to my teacher I would like become a Doctor. But now it's completely different now I am waiting for a software job. When I think of my school days I smile on myself. This is what life is. Real goals are set when we become young. 90% of people may not achieve their childhood goals set for future, some may not remember them. Thank you it was a very nice discussion.

it's very hard for me to answer your question. because when i was a kid, i only dreamed to play games with my pals with full energe for the whole day and never to sleep. till to finish my middle school, some day my aunt asked me what you want to be when you grow up. suddenly i stood silently there to think about this serious question.i didn't remeber how to anser my aunt. but later on, i started to dreaming. maybe for every kid, his dream is started by a friendly greeting.tag
