| | From my favorite window in my living room, I can see a hill with a hotel on its top. Deep forests surround my city. I can see lots and lots of trees. Beautiful clouds in the sky add to the beauty. Well I am not a poet, but the scenery outside my window is really amazing. Thanks, your discussion topic really made me realize that I indeed miss seeing natures beauty and I should spend less time on computer and more time gazing outside my window. Happy posting to you too:) | | | | | | |

| | Is it a large hill and a large Hotel? What city are you in? We have a lot of white puffy clouds right now with a gentle cool breeze keeping the heat down a little today. I like to look at the beauty surrounding me each day to appreciate what the Higher Power has done for me daily. Thanks. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~ | | | |

| | Umm.... can't see much... it's really dark, cold (not that you can see THAT! ;) Well, actually... if I breathe on the window I can see my breath, so I guess that counts as seeing cold, right?!?! ;) ) AND it's RAINING! Stormy weather and late at night! Probably not the kind of answer you were looking for... but that's all I can see atm... LOL! | | | | | | |

| | Hello Granpa Bob :) I see a brick wall. There is an ant crawling along the wall, in one of the lines of mortar, as if it was following a path. The ant disappears then reappears as it walks into the shadows made by the bars across my window. | | | | | | |

| | Can you also see smokestacks for furnaces of the other roofs? Are there a lot of pigeons and gulls? What area are you in? near me this weekend we have the Tall Ships Tour arriving. These are replicas of sailing ships from 1812 with miles of rope for the sails etc. I was planning to see them but gas is too costly so that plans shot. Thanks bunches. Sounds like an awesome view friend. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~ | | | |

| | Most of the houses were built in Victorian times so they have gables and towers and tall chimneys, but regulations mean that only smokeless fuel can be burned so there is no smoke. I'm on the south coast of England and I watched a nice French tall ship sail by when I was on the seafront on Sunday. It's a shame you won't be able to go to see the tall ships arrive in your area. | | | |

| | During the day is much better. Apart form our orange pots with the little green plants I can see kids playing outside (when there are no classes), neighbors mingling, the cold red wall becomes flushed with vibrant life and the windows becomes a gateway to the innermost sanctuary of our neighbor. :p | | | |

| | Looks like you have a really nice view, and some nice plants! When I look out my living room window, I see my hedges, in the background, dripping glistening water from our short morning shower. In the center of the U-shaped driveway, I see my one rose garden that has my grandmother's graveside urn standing in the center with a cascade of flowers in it. (The cemetary changed it's rules and I had to bring it home. This huge thing has been at the cemetary in my families grave plots since the 40's. It's silver and about 3 feet tall and a foot and a half across the top. It brings me fond memories of my family that's gone.) I can also see the side bed along the garage. I have scads of peonies there. The peonies were planted at my Dad's farm house back in the mid 1800's and were planted by my great, great, great grandmother. (I multiply them constantly, and now all my family members have some family history in their gardens too.) In the bed that's just under the window, I have ressurection lilies (they bloom in the spring, disappear totally, then come back in the fall for another bloom.) I also have a tree peony from my Aunt, as well as a rose bush of hers that I started from cuttings. The rest of the area has lots of chrysanthemums that were multiplied from plants that I got for Mothers day when my kids were little. I guess you could call my plants a living tribute to family lol. | | | | | | |

| | Thank you very much. Out my front picture window I can see my Lilies when they are in bloom, my Red Maple tree with the bird feeded attatched. A few Hostas. My mail box and the two streets in front of the house as well. What type of hedges are they? I'd love to see a photo of the rose bushes you have if possible. The urn is that big? My wife wants peonies. Are they tubers that have to be dug up in the fall and stored till the thaw arrives in spring? 1800's? Those are some old ones. Great sharing plants especially ones from other family members down the bllod lines. I give my daughter plants as well and my son planted some of my plants at his carwash he manages also. What a beautiful description. Thank you so very much. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~ | | | |

| | Hehe I like these fun questions, but unless I get up, I'll win the prize for most boring answer. We're on a hill like those houses at the end of the original Miracle on 34th Street movie and all I see from where I'm sitting right now is the house across the street's top floor and roof. Okay, okay, I'll get up. Houses, American flags, flowers, part of a cemetery (love that view, it's very comforting for some reason), trees looming above houses, and way down at ground level, as far as I can see is a river and the tall buildings of a nearby town. Hey, at least I'm not in a flood zone way up here! | | | | | | |
