Yes there is a Bad Waitress.
It is a coffe shop/restaraunt near my wifes work. I love the name as well. This photo is the neon sign on the side of the building. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is mainly an internet cafe for the yuppies in the neighborhood. They have WiFi for free as long as you have an internet card on your laptop. They also have pay per hour internet desktops if preferred. I was going to go there just for a cup of coffee when they 1st opened but the coffee is $2.50 for a regular cup of standard coffee. Anyhow do you have coffee shops/internet cafes near you? Do you use the computers at those places as well?

There's one internet cafe near my home and I'm going there every time i have problems with my PC. I like the owner, he's very cool person, devoted to the business he runs. At least prices aren't that high. Don't know where are you from, but 2.5$ for a cup of coffee seems a lot lol.

I have yet to use an internet cafe or even the librarys computers.
Never had the urge or reason to this day.
Yeah it's cpost;ly, a latte was almost $5 there.
I'd hate to see how much dinner would be for just me.

I visit a few coffee shops and pay about $1.50 for a cup of regular coffee. So this place is out of my league. But it is a cool ,place. Their windows open like a garage door to the outdoor area. When opened there is a small wall about 2 feet tall and it is like a small patio type setting. Also chairs and tables outside for the smokers etc during pleasant weather.

yes we have those resturants with the computers and coffee'also but I have never used on as I have my own here at home. I'know their coffee is always way high. there are more of them around Irvine and Newport Beach in the pricier areas. happy posting from Hatley.

We don't have anything really close to us. But there is a Whataburger restaurant where we frequent. They have internet hookup free. We often see men or young teenagers in there using their laptops. They even have electric plugs at several tables where you can hook up your laptop. It's neat, but I haven't had to use that. My daughter-in-law works over the Internet in her job from her home. They had satellite hookup once and it was down for days. They had to go from library to library or restaurants where she could download her work load and then go back and upload it when she finished until the satellite came back on. Now they have A T & T DSL which is very fast. By the way, I haven't drank coffee in almost 1 1/2 years. Just put it down one day because it bothered me and haven't even had a sip.

Now that is another great business name, "WHATABURGER".
I would not want satellite hookup.
My TV goes out when storms happen so would my internet then.
I'll stick with my DSL.
DSL is the best.
I finally got rid of dialup awhile back and love my DSL.
Very fast indeed. Thanks.

Whataburger has some great burgers!
We almost traded our dial-up for satellite because we were getting worse service than we ever had. But BellSouth, our provider at the time (it is now A T & T - worse than BellSouth), gave us the chance to get DSL, although we are a little far out. We can't get the fastest hookup but it is MUCH better than dialup even on a bad day!

I never stated they had good coffee.
I only stated the cost.
I also said, "I was going to go there for a cup...."
But I imagine it must be good as I see a lot of customers drinking it.

WOW....that is one expensive cup of coffee! We have several internet cafes near here, most of which state that one has to buy at least one cup of beverage two get 2 hours of free internet. (they give you a code and it expires in 2 hours. ) I have never used these places, as I tend to just come home and relax at my own computer. I have used an internet cafe when traveling, but I am very careful what sites I visit as I just don't trust the security in the cafes!

No, we don't usually go there to use the internet. In fact the "Starbucks" just have Wifi (my computer doesn't have wifi capabilities, and I don't have a card). However I do love to drink coffee & I sometimes go there. I do understand, the coffee can be a lot of money, right?

As I posted on your photo, I'd be curious enough that no doubt I would have to give this coffee shop a try, however I do appreciate a good waitress so I'd be skeptical. I have not heard of an internet cafe, we don't have anything like that here. In our small town we have a restaurant we usually go to. Coffee has gone up, we were used to paying 1.00 a cup and free refills now it's 1.25 and I think all they give is one free refill which is lots enough for me. Our coffee pot is always on at home anyway. We do have a restaurant in the nearest city from me called the singing waitress and we enjoy that. You can go there for a smorg lunch and go as a listener or if you play an instrument you can take your instrument and play music or sing if that's your thing.

My husband used to work for a guy that owned an internet cafe. My husband would use the computers when things were slow. He is a web designer, so he was able to have his cake and eat it too. I have used the computers whenever I stopped by with my husband. They served breakfast and lunch. Sometimes they offered my husband a buy one get one free, and we would go for breakfast on a Saturday morning. They served a complete breakfast, and for lunch mostly wraps, chicken finges, fries, onion rings, and things like that. Their prices were not too bad.
They also used the facility for business meetings.

No, there is none around here. And if someone opened one, it probably wouldn't do very well. They finally opened a Starbucks in the grocery in town. I love their Vanilla bean frappicinos but they are way to much!

I use to take my laptop along to Startbucks which was near the local community center, when my son was doing activities there for an hour or two, a year ago. I would sit there surfing online until it was time to pick him up. I had to register with another company in order to use the internet service though. I paid $6 and some change for I think maybe an hour or more, can't quite remember as it's been over a year since I last used it. I only did that twice though and thought the cost wasn't too bad and it kept me busy while waiting for my son.
Now that he is in school, I don't need to use that service anymore :0)

We don't have too many around us here, although there is supposed to be one in the next county. Many of our libraries have Internet service and all of the Starbucks have WiFi (even the one in Barnes & Noble). Also, we can pay by the minute at Kinko's if we really need to.
They might charge more for the coffee to cover some of the cost for the free Internet. I love the general atmosphere of coffee shops. But I love the Internet and Phone centers in Europe - I wish we had some like them here. So convenient - simply a way to call home or check your email while overseas - maybe some cold drinks, but pretty much a service only store. Very convenient and easy to find no matter where you were.

I live out in the country so although we don't have an internet cafe we did get a little coffee cafe/ antiques store right down the road from where i live. The coffee is a ridicoulas price and the muffins are outragously priced, but i have fun going in and looking around.
