A fun day awhile back  

Happy belated b-day and it sounds like you had a great day. No we don't have any free zoo's around here or any that we would have to pay to go to either. We didn't really do much. On Memorial Day we did cook out and had burgers and hot dogs so it was good. We also have had some much needed rain so that is really good. :)

I haven't been to the zoo in God knows how many years, probably about 28 years, when my son was very young was the last time went to the african safari that we have here in hemmingsford quebec, that was when he was about 8 so that will make it about 24 years ago if you count that.

Happy birthday to you. How old are you now? 40? you dont look older than that. We dont have a zoo here where I live, Have to go for a 1 1/2 hours to get to one. My hubby BQ And had the kids down we had a great time.

I had to work Memorial Day. But that is life. We do not have a free zoo near us. Most of the zoos in the area are petting zoos and consist of farm animals.

well, I had to work on Memorial Day so I had suggested to my client that we go easy on the work that day and watch a lot of NCIS (we watched 3 episodes I think.) I did do a lot on the Friday before so we hadn't watched any that day.

There is now a zoo some where around town, South I think, but I've never been.

We have zoos near us, but none of them are free. With the cost of food and veterinary care for the animals, I wouldn't expect them to be free. There is a nice zoo in Oklahoma CIty, where quite a bit has been spent creating exhibit enclosures that are healthier for the animals. There's also a small zoo in town here, but we haven't been since last year. My favorite zoo in the area is the Arbuckle Wilderness, in Davis Oklahoma. It's a drive thru zoo with a serengeti theme. Most of the animals that aren't meat eaters wander at will, and you can feed them right out of the car.

We don't have a Memorial here in May, our day is held on 11th november, on the 11 hour 11th month and the 11th. day which held for the war deaths and we call it the Poppy Day. Weh you all had the Memorial Day, it was our Bank holiday, we all had a long break but didn't do anything special.

Happy Birthday a few days late. I was very busy for the whole weekend. I stayed all night Friday at my friends house. I was helping her give her daughter a baby shower, for Saturday. The shower was big, about 100 people. We had it at a local metropark. Sunday I spent the day with my mom, church, lunch and shopping. Monday I helped my friend get another daughter and her family moved. We have a wonderful big zoo were I live. On Monday mornings from 10 to 12 its free for residents to get in. Thats a thank you for us for supporting the zoo with our taxes. I also go to the zoo at other times with my mom, she has a membership and its a nice place to walk.

BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRANDPA BOB!!! If I had known, I'd have been on time!! I'm going to add it to my calendar so this doesn't happen again.

I did absolutely nothing for that weekend. Didn't even leave the apartment until later that Monday. It was kind of nice having nothing required of me.

Happy birthday to you! Well, my answer to you is that I have a few zoo which is my neighbour who have 2 dog and it is fun to see the dog sleep in front of the air conditioner room.

Yeah I know that is not the zoo but I assume it is so please be happy and stay healthy.

I don't go for picnic because I don't have time to do it. I just read Mylot and write mylot and hope that everyone can be my friends and share your happiness and sadness to me. Cheers.
