When was the last time you crafted or made something for yourself?

Crafting from necessity is the crafting that is the most necessary. Good for you that you have such talent! Your baby is indeed lucky to have someone like you. But my Mom demanded perfection and it wasn't until she died that I could craft or do much of anything else because nothing was ever good enough for her. While my Mom made the best Barbie clothes on the block (I could look at any magazine and point to something, my Mom could make it for Barbie), she discouraged me from doing anything. Hopefully you'll be a little lighter with your kid.

I'm not perfect and will never be, but the hats warm both them and me, me in the making and them in the wearing.

When my Mom got old and had had cancer for the 3rd time, I finally heard her say about something she made that wasn't perfict, "Good enough." I almost fell over. A patchwork cushion cover, how wonderful! Good for you! I wish I had such talent. I use a circle knitter or circle loom, sort of knitted. I did start one that I'm kind of weaving.

I have never heard of a circle knitter - very interesting. I will look it up on Google. I have knitted hats, but I'm a very slow knitter.

I'm slow, too. Have fun looking them up. I had a discussion with a link to some and I used to, but I don't know if I still do, have a circle knitter on my profile page and some of my hats in pictures on my profile page.

kats, look up provocrafts, they have lots of looms. I have some, like them, but do not use them enough. I need to make this new baby a blanket, cause she is the second, and no one figured they NEEDED any more baby blankets, but my daughter WANTED one for Hallie, so I will make her one.

I think you should make something for you. After the baby blanket of course!

Oh, I'm a keeper, lol. That is one of the reasons I have way too much stuff in my life. Not to mention all the purchased craft supplies and reusables.

I have an altar at my home for worship, but unfortunately, it got covered with books! But I started something to help me with prayer and worship-forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder,I need to get it out from under all the books. To me, I always have a place to worship, outdoors, indoors, everywhere was made by the one who made us and everywhere is a place to praise that one. Take care.

That happens sometimes, I have let my place go many times, but then I also go back, clean it up and have it ready again.

No, loom knitting/weaving, I tried crochet a couple of time, everything I make free hand looks like crap. The hats were from a loom, keeps tension better for me and things tend to at least look like their intended purpose.

Glad you made the eyeglass case, that's very handy for you and very handy of you! Interesting how useful your crafts are. Everything has a place and everything in it's place. Welcome to Mylot! What a lovely story. I wish one of my Grandmothers had been alive to show me and teach me things and the other one had been well enough to do so. Sometimes my Mother had patience to show me things and other times she didn't.

Those times are precious and cherished, I'm sure.
