I regret watching "the Haunting in Connecticut" |
| |
| Okay, I admit that I am a big baby. Horror flicks are really not my thing. Anyway, I watched "The Haunting in Connecticut" the other day with my friends. At first it was really okay and actually quite interesting... but then when I got home I kept remembering all the gory images in the film. The freaky thing too is that the movie was somehow based on a real story! Eeeks. Anyway, my question is: do you like watching scary movies? and What is the scariest film that you have seen? | | the haunting in connecticut | | | | |

| | I'm a big baby as well when it comes to horror films! I haven't yet watched The Haunting in Connecticut since a family friend said it scared him to death. I'm still working up the courage to watch it at this point. The scariest film I ever watched was The Grudge. That movie still scares me to death even though my family thinks it is hilarious that I am that scared because of a movie. They like to scare me by making the sounds from the movie because it almost brings me to tears. | | | | | | |

| | I like classic scary movies, generally those from the late 70s and 80s. I will watch modern ones but usually get bored by the lack of tension or suspense and I get really fed up of movies which just rely on gore to try and scare you. For me the best scary movie is the original Halloween as it is such a tense movie which always scares me when something unexpected happens. Plus because when they made it visual horror was not really popular it allows you to let your own imagine to run wild and often scare yourself with what your mind thinks is happening. | | | | | | |

| | I cry at sad or poignant movies and cover my eyes at gory ones. Scary ones, I just turn off, or if other people are watching, then I walk out. I will not fill my mind with that stuff. The scariest movie I ever watched was Psycho (1960) and I STILL refuse to take a shower without going around first and locking all the doors and windows: http://web.tiscalinet.it/... The scariest book I ever read was Truman Capote's In Cold Blood. That was truly a nasty crime, made worse by the fact that it really happened. | | | | | | |

| | I am SO not into the scary gory movies. A psychological thriller is okay as long as it stays pretty mellow. I'm the biggest chicken in my circle of friends and have seen some of the worst movies in the past couple of years than I have my whole life. LOL. | | | | | | |

| | Love Love Love Horror Flicks! Some, the cheesier the better. Haunting in Connecticut wasn't bad, a lot like Amityvile Horror. I can watch them all day. I am so not a chick flick person. My husband HATES them and would rather watch an old western, which I can't stand. To each there own. Scariest one I have ever seen and the only one to give me nightmares is Stephen Kings IT. | | | | | | |

| | I used to love horror movies. But then nearly all of them started getting sexual content and just disgusting stuff in them, and my morals are very against watching that type of thing. Plus, the gore is just a turn off. I liked ghost stories that were "spooky," not gory. About three years ago, my husband and then fiancee took me to see Silent Hill, since we're both very big videogamers and the movie was based on the game. There are two scenes in the movie that were so disturbing and disgusting that even thinking back on them now, I feel physically sick and wonder why in the heck anyone would put something so vile in a movie. I've never been so uncomfortable in a movie theater in my life. It was so bad that to this day, my husband knows not to mention the games or the movie as I get very upset. Some horror movies are scary. Presently, though, most horror movies make me wonder how in the world a normal, sane person can watch something so horrible and disturbing and not feel dirty because of it. Since Silent Hill, though, I've never watched a horror movie again, and have sworn off many movies in general. It was one of the worst experiences I've been through. | | | | | | |

| | I haven't watched the movie yet but I'm originally from Connecticut. My dad knows the house that this movie is based on. It's actually not too far from my hometown, maybe about 15 minutes driving or so. But my dad said the movie was pretty decent. And I do love watching scary movies. | | | | | | |
