What a Good Weekend I Had Finally Met A myLot Friend

What a fabulous weekend I had. I took a road trip out to where my ex husband lives so I could babysit my four pound Maltese puppy so he could go to the Snow Birds Air Show. He has always wanted to go and this was to be their last show and when his son said tickets were bought and they could go together he got pretty excited about it all till he had time to think about that and realized he couldn't go. Our puppy is paper trained in a litter box and as stupid as this sounds she absolutely will not pee or poop on the ground and like ex hubby said how could he pack around a pee box? That's when I said I would go stay with her and that's what I did. You can see from my photos and my avatar she is all four pounds of love!!! Well Saturday morning came and the phone rang, son called to tell his dad the air show was cancelled due to heavy rain fall. That put a damper on ex's plans, but mine just began I spent every waking minute with my puppy and happy to say ex hubby was very pleasant. We even went shopping. Well the highlight of my trip was when I stopped on the way home to meet a friend from myLot!!! I am so happy I did. We killed a pot of coffee and talked about men lol. I thoughly enjoyed my visit but I did babble I was excited. I have made another good friend on myLot and as it is the lady who told me about myLot in the first place is this ladys' sister. They are such good people. Now it was all downhill when I got home, one thing was I had no computer because the phone line had been damaged due to a weekend party or something? Have you ever been excited to write a post on your weekend to come home to find you have no phone service??? Grrrr. It's all good now and in fact the lady I had the visit with has called to thank me for the visit, I am so happy!!!

Good for u, i'm glad u has such a nice weekend. Sounds like fun , except i must say u are a better lady than i am. my ex's & i didn't have that kind of relationship after our divorse . i'm glad u got to meet a mylot friend. I think that would be so much fun. I have never met any mylotters but anniefannie but she & i have been friends for years. Hope u get to meet some more. Keep up the good attitude w/the ex.

Thank You for your kind words Antiguelady and also for your response. I'm not happy with my ex husband and he will always be just an Ex but I want to remain in good standing because I truely love our little puppy and we spoiled her like she was a child and I love her as one.

That is too cool to be able to meet a mylot friend. I am so happy for you. I would love to meet some of my friends here too, hopefully someday I can. Till then I will have to visit with them here and keep up with what is going on in their lives. Its also great that you got to spend time with your pretty little baby.

Oh I just love that little puppy so much and she knows it, little pot licker. I know she always sleeps with my ex and never in my wildest dreams did I ever think this but I went to get into my bed and there she comes down the hall to the front room where my bed was made. My Ex called out to her and he said, "Trader" but she didn't listen to him at all Too Funny!!! I picked her up and after I was all tucked in she layed down beside me and there she stayed all night. Meeting a myLot friend just put the icing on the cake!!! And now my puter is working too!!!

Ha ha well I don't know if she's that smart but Oh Yeah dad was the one that went looking for greener pastures and I think all he found was a field of BS. Sucks to be him but I do give him credit he is looking after our girl and he is doing a good job. She's daddys girl but that's out the window when I come in the picture and if you could hear how she crys and gets so excited. Unbelievable really.

Sorry about the air show, but I am certainly happy that you had a great weekend until you got home. I guess your computer is back up and running now, and that is a good thing. I feel attached to a lot of my MyLot friends, and I hope to meet some more of them in the future. I am glad you could spend so much time with your puppy.

Yes it was disapointing for my Ex, he was really looking forward to going. He said he was sorry I had to come so far to babysit then for him to not be able to go, but it was all good. I got lots of puppy hugs and kisses and she even slept with me. We both love her so much and she is one spoiled puppy. Thank You GardenGerty for your response.

That is great, I am glad you had a blast with your puppy and mylot friend. I have them love to meet/to scared to meet thing..cause what if they don't like me or I am not what they expected..among a few things... cause face to face I am totally different since I am so shy face to face then I am behind a monitor screen.

Being shy is a very hard thing to overcome. My daughter was like that too till she got her first job working with the public. If you ever come to Canada I hope to meet you and you'll come out of your shell then. We're goofy here. lol But don't let that scare you. Take Care

Yes we did have a good visit indeed. I know we will meet again one day. This was an unique situation. The lady who told me about myLot in the first place was living about an hour away from me But... We didn't meet on myLot she was selling on Ebay and I bought from her, well when we realized we lived so close I decided to go meet her which I did and it was after that she told me about myLot and now three years later I meet her sister from myLot. Thank You for your response and Yes I am happy now that my computer is back in service.

I have DSL so I don't worry about phone poutages etc. Just a power outage affects my internet use. I have met about 5 members from myLot in my 3 plus years here. Always great to meet them face to face. I used to get excited posting here about anything and everything especially my garden, but lately due to trolls etc I am seldom on here anymore. I have not made payout in 3 months due to my absence. But till I feel safe I'll be posting very little actually.
Glad ya had a great weekend as well.

Sorry to be so long in responding but everything got frantic this past week. I am so happy that you saw the puppy and even happier that you got to meet a mylot friend. How great is that? I do email a few friends that i have made on mylot and swapped photos etc but it is unlikely that we would ever meet as I do not live in the USA. I do hope that the friendship will blossom and grow both you both. Blessings

Based on the fact that I have never been to Jamica in my life and considering my age as well as I don't see leaving Canada any time soon I don't see how I will ever get to meet you, however I still love you the same as one of my myLot friends. Ahhh, sound like a great weekend. How excited you must have been to finally met someone from myLot in the flesh. Meeting friends in cyberspace can be frightening because you really don't know whom you really are communicating with. For you and your new friend to meet seems to have been destiny.
It was really nice of you to agree to babysit your cute puppy for your ex-husband to go to Snow Birds Air Show. Many "exs" don't even speak to each other. Bomber for him that the show was rained out. I gald you still had a great weekend with your friend.
See, how much we rely on technology to communicate? What has happened to old-fashioned paper,pen, and stamps. Glad you are back up and communicating.

I'm happy to see there are others that agree with me, What Did happen To Old Fashioned Communication? Thank You for your response and kind words. I really don't see the point in me being miserable to my Ex that will only result in me not being able to see our puppy and I love her to pieces. Besides he thought he was leaving to greener pastures and all he found was a field of poop so I think he's paying the price more than me.

The puppy is darling. So glad you had a chance to meet another myLot member. I bet that was loads of fun. I haven't met anyone from myLot. Think there is only member who lives fairly close to me. Am not one to travel far from home and have other commitments to our daughter. I babysit and the days are so sporatic because of she and her husband's work schedules. Their schedules change because of their careers. Both are firefighters/paramedics.

I sure hope you do get the chance and I hope to meet more myLot friends as well. So many of my friends are thousands of miles away and in a different country but I never give up the thought I will meet more. Yes i truly love my puppy. Thank You for your response.

Who did you meet from MyLot? Sounds like you two got on like a house on fire!
I have met 2 people from here - one lady is from Singapore and she visited me here in Australia, and the other one lives not too far from me. They are both really nice ladies, and we still keep in touch.

I have not met any fellow mylotters in person as yet but I bet it is an exciting thing to happen to someone.
Its good that you enjoyed your day with your beautiful pup, ex and fellow mylotter.
It is indeed annoying when the internet service goes for any reason at all. It always puts a damper on my day.
