On an Up Note.....Update on Things....

I am proud to announce that my daughter is engaged. She met a nice young man online who lives a stones throw away from where we live. They are planning to wed next year either in May, June, or July. I haven't seen my daughter this happy in a long time. I am happy to see her this way. Love gets us through the rough times and we definitely have been through our fair share.
My 3 younger children are stable at the moment. They look better than I have seen them look in years. They look healthy and have that spark of life back in them. I pray that the good Lord get them through this. With faith and prayer all things are possible.
People often tell me that they can't believe that I am handling this as good as I am. I do this for myself. A dear friend who is no longer with us once told me "Don't worry over things you have no control over." I repeat this to myself often. Although I still have the tendency to worry, my worries are less.

daughter's upcoming marriage. sound really happy time for
you And yours. I am also glad your three younger children
are all doing well too. Your dear friend did give you
excellent advice. My friend gave me this excellent advice
when I lost my hubby. just take it one day at a time,you'can do that, Patsie,one day at a time, and it did help me so much.,

I am glad things are going great for your family. I am very happy to hear someone else is doing good. When my family is not. At least that gives me hope that things can turn around for me.

That's great news. I have been trying not to worry but to pray. But I also know that what you can handle, you do, what you can't the Lord will look after. Well, raising money for my daughter's Taekwondo tournaments is something we must do, though I'm not getting a whole lot of support. I guess that is where God will step in, at the last minute, with a generous supporter. Gotta have faith, right?

It is so good to hear that things are looking up for your family, Elusive. I am no stranger to family problems myself, and I know the amount of fortitude it takes sometimes just to make it from day to day. Congratulations to your daughter on her upcoming marriage! iam so glad for you see all our prayers are paying off. i really wish i could get that attitude tho about the worrying part. people tell me to leave it all in Gods hands and i do try. often it works out if i do. but im to much like my grandma, of whom people used to say, if she didnt have anything to worry about she would worry that there was something she should be worried about.

ElusiveButterfly, congratulations to your daughter on her engagement, that is happy news and you’re right love can get you through the most difficult challenges! It’s good to hear that your other children are doing okay considering the rough times they have been through. Your friend gave you very good advice, it is a matter of taking life even one hour at a time if you have to and you will get through it.
