These days, I can't help but sleep at around 12midnight. I can't seem to be able to hit the sack before then. I think this was because I had changed my body clock due to some urgent things that needed to be done several days ago.

Even though I sleep at 12midnight, I could still be able to wake up at around 6:30am or 7:00am the least.

What do you do in order to sleep? Or do you not have any problems at all?

I find that I cannot sleep during season changes. I lie awake at night and think a lot about the last season, my likes and dislikes about it, what I will do different the next time around and what I will be doing this upcoming season. My brain works overtime for some reason. So, to combat it I keep a journal and when I have really restless nights I write things down. This helps make my eyes tired and then I can fall asleep once it is down on paper. I also find that if I eat a late dinner I stay up too late. If I eat at 5:00 I am usually good to go to bed by 10:00.

I often have the same trouble when i am stressed or anxious. Before you go to bed make sure you are relaxed and tired. When i go to bed i read a book till i feel tired. Reading a book helps you relax and also stops you worrying about your day and not sleeping. happy

I am a person that also have a problem with going to sleep as well as getting up in the morning.It seems that no matter what time i go to bed i still can not get off to sleep and all i seem to do is get stressed out as i can not get to sleep.Then when it comes to getting up in the morning i still tend to over sleep as well.I have tried sleeping tablets and they make it worse to get up in the morning.

HI Laydee,

I guess your body has get used to sleep late and wakeup early in the morning.
But do you ever encounter sleep earlier than 12 midnight when you really feel tired?

For me, most of the time I will sleep late too as my son also a late sleeper. By time we get ready all,that was about 10.30-11pm.After my son sleep,then I will online till 1-2am in the morning.The next morning, I will have to wake up at 7am.Although I do feel sleepy,but once I have thing to do,then my sleepy is gone by itself.
I do have a short nap in the afternoon while my son is having his nap,so at least my body got enough rest.

Maybe you have some problems in mind that's make you not able to sleep early. You can always read some magazine or watch Tv to kill your night time or even surf net.

I used to have problems but I read an article about preparing your body for sleep. I adapted some of those suggestions and added a couple of my own. Now, I rarely have a sleepless night. Don't watch television 30 minutes before you go to bed and don't watch or lsiten to the news an hour before you go to bed. Read a book for a half an hour before you go to bed and make sure that you don't do the reading in bed. It must be done in some other room. The piece that I added is that I have a CD of ocean sounds and I fall asleep to the sound of ocean waves. Good luck.

I must say your still lucky that you can sleep at 12 midnight. Me, i think my insomnia is getting worst. I used to be like you that can sleep 12midnight then later on it moves until i can't sleep anymore until the sun rise...phew! its really difficult and i am already worried. I know its not healthy as i am starting to feel sick. Lack of sleep at night and over sleep at day.Its not pretty normal anymore. In your case you can still prevent it from being like me. NOt sure what are the ways but i know there are ways to help you out. As for me i know when all this stress and problems i am having is all settled then i hope i will get back my normal sleep. I really wish for that to happen soon as i badly need to sleep at night and not in day.

hi.

I have sleeping problems honestly. Maybe because I am at school at 5:30 - 8:30 pm and had to study till 12 am. This had been for 4 and half years.

When I can't sleep, I pray untill I can no longer tell anything to God. When I am done praying and still I can't sleep, I listen music to my mp4 until I can sleep. If not, I do the sit ups to tire myself because when I am tired, I am able to sleep easily. At times it works but most often, it doesn't.

if i have trouble sleeping either i get up and watch some t.v. or i find a book and start reading or i wake my husband up and we have tea in the livingroom. its not to often that i have to do this but some nights are restless especially if i worry about bills or something is happening in my family. the best tea to drink when restless is chamomile tea. it really soothes you.hope this helps!

Hello dear laydee. I don't usually have trouble sleeping, but sometimes if I drink tea in the evening or if I sleep too long in the afternoon, then it will be difficult for me to fall asleep at night. There was one time when I kept awake and then I got up to mylot until after five in the morning. Now I find that I fall asleep faster with my mp5 playing audible novels. I like it to enable me to sleep faster. Take care, friend.
