What time do you usually have your evening meal?

We call it supper here, I live in the south. Sometimes we use the word dinner, it just interchanges.

As for when we eat, now that all depends. My husband and I live with his parents. We wait for his mom to get home from work, and that can be 12:30 (lunch time) or 6 or 7. Sometimes if she is going to be working a different schedule we eat before, or by ourselves depending.

We try to eat before 8 PM which is when my father in law must start getting ready for work. Also, if my husband is at work I will wait for him before eating.

We usually eat dinner at about eight PM to nine PM. I know it's kinda late but we close our internet cafe first before we go home and have dinner. We are usually altogether during dinner except for some rare occasions. Usually, when we're not complete, the absent ones are really busy and have to beat a deadline or out of town.

Due to my father's diet, we usually have our dinner in the evening. Around 6 or 7

We all work different shifts around here, so we do not often eat together. My preference is to eat at about 5:15, but I do not always get to. I get grumpy when I do not.

This is a really good discussion and I am sure that everyone has dinner since food is important to survive,since you have to have energy to do everyday tasks,and I love to eat,and sometimes I love to eat more than I should,and usually around here we have our dinner between five pm and six pm,sometimes it varies depending on what time I get home from work if I am working,or what time my mother gets home from work,since on some days she works later than others,and what we are having for supper since some days my mother brings home food when she is on her way home,have a great day,good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals,and Happy Posting.

People who were born & raised here have Breakfast, Dinner & Supper. Those who have moved here say Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. No matter what you want to call it, I no longer eat it. During the summer months, I ear fruit for breakfast, then I don't eat again until around 1-2:00. Then I fix myself a HUGE, healthy meal. By eating later in the day, I'm not hungry for the evening meal so I skip it. I tend to go to sleep earlier when I don't eat. I get some good rest too. Plus my acid reflux has been better. I've lost 6 pounds & I've only been doing this for a month.

I used to have dinner ready by around 5:30, 6:00 every night when all my girls were at home. It was so busy around here that I had to have a routine and stick to it somewhat. Now it is just me and one daughter and we are so very random. Some nights we eat as early as 4pm and other nights as late as 7:30, 8:00 pm.

Call it supper most of the time.
DInner means to me like something like a thanksgiving dinner. which is around 2 or 3 in the after noon .
normal supper no one really eats together we are all scattered but they can warmit up when they get ready!

Hello celticeagle! We usually have dinner at 6.30 to 7.30 pm. It's great if all the family member can sit down together, but unfortunately it can't happen everyday. We work in different time shift, so sitting together for a meal is a rare occassion.

We tend to have dinner around six or seven depends on the day...it is normally later on tuesdays and thrusdays due to my nephew going to an afterschool program but everybody eats together unless one kid stays at a friends.
